I mean they can still be rivals they just don’t need to be antagonistic towards each other. I‘m pretty sure that friends who compete in the same discipline are still technically rivals, they are also just not bitter about the other outdoing them, just maybe frustrated and motivated to do better. But I guess the elders didn’t really use competition to build mutual respect and camaraderie, so these two wouldn’t know about that kind of thing.

This was a pleasant chapter. It was nice seeing Meyran and Zyris try and help each other to cope with their past traumas. And of course Anper can’t be happy for his daughter, just because she doesn’t listen to him. By the way thanks for the Free passes.

Is going Koala instead of going monkey aimed towards her being clingy or becoming more stupid around her significant other. If it’s the latter then that is funnily enough more accurate since Koalas are actually literally smooth brained meaning they have very few Brainwrinkles which illustrates the fact that they are really really stupid. I know it’s probably the first one though. And I am going to be a little mean now by telling you that Koalas evolved a special Headstructure with A LOT of fluids in it because they literally kept falling out of trees.
