When they built their characters, they didn’t know they were going to be transmigrated. For them it was just a roleplaying game at that time. Plus Nico is the carefree and impulsive one, with Cassian being the reasonable and logical one. That’s why it was mostly Cassian leading the discussion.
The discussion was quite a long one. Some people may have been bored by it, but honestly, I really wanted to do it. I never really see, in fanfics, characters actually sit down and heavily contemplate a decision as massive and life-altering as to which familia to join. It's almost always short and simple like: "I decided to join this familia because they suit me the best" or "I decided to join this familia because I like them". So, I wanted to actually dive deep into it and discuss Cassian and Nico's thought processes about who to join and why.

Pretty much, yeah. The Author said that Bell's story would end within a year for some weird reason about not wanting Bell's age to increase if I'm correct. It's wayyy too fast of a progression for me and a shame too considering it severely limits the story's potential.
I know a lot of you will be worried about Bell showing up and leaving them in the dust but be assured that won't happen. While he still will get Liaris Freese, it will be nerfed. I always found his growth speed ludicrous and damaging to the story. So instead of leveling up every 1-2 months, it will be 6-12 months.

Mining. All of these explosives were to be used in the mines, but Quaritch seized them and put them into the war effort.
It wasn't a machine of war, possessing no turrets or any weapons but it was still repurposed as such here, to carry tons and tons of explosives. Enough explosive to equate a nuclear warhead in sheer power.

MC doesn't have much experience either. He's only been in one fight and even that was against normal humans. Plus unlike MC, Riot's mind is a lot less developed and animalistic, meaning his instincts are stronger than MC's and will fight/unleash abilities more efficiently. If MC was a seasoned fighter with a lot of experience that would be a disadvantage, but against an unexperienced MC, its a large boon.
(... cut me some slack, okay? I thought I was the only one of this species. They didn't tell me there was one more)
