Thank you for the chapter. I am glad you presented a scene without Simon in and instead showed us a glimpse of stuff that happens around him without his knowledge. It kind of makes the other characters feel more alive, they have their own interactions and motivations too.
So far so good. Though you should also write about the world around the mc. Although this fanfic is in 3rd person pov, it feel like 1st person pov.
Seems like Veronica doesn't wanna interact with him at all, I don't see why he keeps on acting like this.
