Their delusion of invincibility is really mind baffling. I mean they have tasted nothing but repeated losses yet they still believe they can turn things around and attain the final victory. So far only Italy has managed to gain some form of victory only for it to be proved short-lived
In fact, he could not help but smirk as he thought about the abject horror on the faces of the Allied tankers when trying to cross over the German trenches believing themselves to be invincible, only to get shot by a seemingly normal looking rifle from afar that turned out to have enough firepower to kill them and their crew with ease.

The historians of the Allied nations will be quite embarrassed to say that the Allies' overconfidence in victory despite suffering consecutive defeats really contributed to their poor battle performance
Naturally allies believed they had come up with a countermeasure to such a tactic, and thus they were quite confident in their chances as they began to make a move towards the border with Belgium hoping to gain ground in the west for the first time since the war began.

The French people cheered and waved their banners as they saw the Allied armored columns moving through their streets. They truly believed that these tanks would challenge the overwhelming might of the German Army and break through the defenses which had held firm for over a year straight now, despite repeated attempts to break them.
