It wasn't exhaustion, but I felt like I was losing my human self more and more, especially with all the knowledge I gained not only about magic but from peeking into reality's secret. I was already getting used to looking into the abyss, so to say. Not to mention the fact I needed some time to digest what I had already gained.

i just like to read a character that has a personality and mindset i want to and strive to have, i love when the mc is not bound by shackles such as morality, empathy, remorse, guilt or other such things and puts himself first and foremost and doesn't mind or even likes stepping on the corpses of countless people to achieve their goals, of course that is not to say i don't want the mc to have emotional connections or show care for someone but that should be an extremely low amount of people
