Why is her character so stupidly dumb & naive for someone who is a college student???

August groaned above him, squinting her eyes against the new darkness that she acquired through this action, feeling it spread up her arm and fan out across her own chest. She slipped on the robe before staggering back against the bed and curling up there into a fetal position while her body shook with soft sobs. Tears slid down her cheeks for Graeme's pain that she felt now as her own. The guilt of all the memories she had witnessed the previous day had been lodged deep inside of him, and now it had her in its grip instead.

Good for her. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

My lips wobble and my hands tremor to his questions. This decision of mine could end everything I have fought for all my life, everything Phobos and I have created as one so far. But...I do not want to return to his side at least for a while longer. I need to breathe I need time to heal and forgive if possible. Him kissing Moira, him calling her name with that gentleness, him allowing her to touch him like that is all I can picture in my mind and it torches me alive.
