I may not have been skilled enough to word it properly back then but I assure you that he is quite suspicious of her, he just knows not to get stuck in paranoia and takes what he can while avoiding what he must. Reyvin isn't the perfect character, he isn't perfectly wise or perfectly intelligent, he has his own way of doing things that is not calculated for the optimum outcome. His stance on the Daedra becomes clearer and clearer the longer the story goes on, and to add to that he isn't quite as vulnerable as others to their bullshit (for reasons that shall grow increasingly evident the longer you read into it)
