Did you know Leopards and Jaguars are both called Panthers? One more to add to the list… the species Felix Concolor, also known as the mountain lion, puma, and cougar, is also called Panther. This is especially true in Florida where they are more likely to be much darker in color and have a subspecies called the Florida Panther. I thought I’d add a little extra trivia to your repertoire. 😄
