In theory, the act of cultivating is an act of elevating yourself into a higher life form. Assuming a being is born as an immortal means that they should have the mind and spirit to be immune or resistant to the passage of time. Otherwise, they're only "immortal" in body, but not in other capacities. I'd even go as far as to call them "temporary" immortals. Since in the end, they'll probably off themselves or something.

After all, his own life span is eternally immortal, enduring through the ages, so there's no need to worry unnecessarily.

If I had to say one thing bad is that the author over explains everything. While I understand that there are times that there should be explanations it's better not to shove in every piece of info you can. While the information dump is smooth there is too much inner dialogue with himself. Please just summarize like saying he was having trouble thinking. Or like there were too many good items. No need to say everything all at once. We don't need to know every little detail of everything.

It's an okay novel. The story progression is fine but unfortunately is not immersive so we really don't get the tension that comes along or if we do it's very weak. The story is very simplistic in the sense there really isn't anything complicated nor are there any underlying things that make it more alive. The characters are weak and the author should've spent more time building them up. He kind of just throws in characters and gives brief scenes of them just so we can get an idea of their personality. It's not very well fleshed out and their rather paper thin. The characters need fire in them or co-ops together so that we get a firmer idea of them. Even the mc feels like a piece of paper. I believe if the author corrected these mistakes and gave more through in-depth detail of the events that happen with the mc then it would be better. Like don't go too fast over something but make it so that it's interesting. Especially make the characters interact more and have more events so we see more and more of them. If that's done then I genuinely believe this novel can be one of the best stories. For now though, it's disappointing to see the potential wasted

A great novel to read but there are a few flaws that make it less interesting or just waste chapters. So the mc themselves is not bad and it is quite interesting seeing what he does and the story progression is interesting. The problem I see is that there are a lot of unnecessary pov chapters. I have nothing against pov chapters but the problem is that the characters getting pov chapters aren't interesting enough to keep reading. Maybe it's for progression of the plot but I think it'd be better to reduce or just keep some side chapters and take out other ones. At times I find myself skipping these side chapters especially during the fight scenes. There's just way too much chapters for the fight scene or for any side character really.

Hmm, I just want to say that it’ be nice if there was an arc where the mc is in his humanoid form. It’d be rather interesting for him to utilize his martial arts skill more

Maybe but the cost may be too high considering that he’s using bits of his soul. Maybe like he can only use it a few times before it’s useless. Even then I think it’ better for there to be high lvl players. It’ll be a lot easier to lvl up using them

[Soul Breath]: You have a spare soul, allowing you to execute techniques too damaging for the pathetic one-souled creatures. Contains a deadly technique to feed pieces of your soul into your breath attacks, giving them the power to directly strike and attack the souls. Though what is its cost?

Imagine how much 5 lvls is for a player… I think people forget that the exp cap for each lvl is the same for every race. So the time consumption might take days just for a single lvl for the players

It's a good story to read and the development of the plot is great. The only bad thing is that it's super slow and it's difficult to maintain certain interests unless you like slow burns. Another thing I also want to say is that the mc is really not a villain so I don't get why there's a villain tag. I have yet to see the mc commit something truly atrocious. Perhaps the only thing close to one is his killing the possessed humans but even then there was an excuse and, to be honest, he felt sympathy. I really don't see how this twists into a villain unless he is transforming into one. It's just quite difficult for me to see such contrasting behaviors as he is fine with killing but later there has to be a chapter devoted to his moral dilemma. Very annoying because this has happened in every incident he has killed someone. He literally can't make up his mind on his principles and frankly, it's getting on my nerves.

Does anyone know what happened to the author? The story is really good and I don't want it to stop. If they are sick I hope that they're feeling better. If they're not coming back, best wishes!

Ah, I am also a bit curious as to why he cares about humanity, to be honest. He genuinely seems more like a person who could care less about everyone except his loyal subordinates. His mindset is absolutely cold and ensures that almost no sentimentality clouds his thoughts so it's really confusing. It just brings up the question of why does he care about humanity? That goal in itself does not align with the mc personality. At least to me.
