On the other hand… Meg knew if she mentioned it, the chance that Hunter immediately 'corrected' her behaviour depriving Meg of this enjoyable sight was quite high. It was only a little wiggle but it was reminding Meg of those tiny snakes you could fit on your finger and watch dance. Meg wondered if it was just a thing for snake-based species. Meg hadn't exactly paid a lot of attention before. So Meg decided it was best not to say anything, and held back a sigh when they got too far away and Hunter sped up again.

Maybe that's why I'm so drawn to Kat and Lily. Sue too I guess. Demons… we are not always a nice species. We're not crazy and the consequences of losing that war against the angels means our public image is forever ruined… but I can't help but wonder if that's really the end of it. If we improved more as a species it could go away. I mean… our hub is one of the nicer ones. Mum has the power to leave if it wasn't and for the most part my family is good people… but… but I wonder if my definition of good was ever the same as the majority of people.

It clearly got attacked by something else but it either managed to kill whatever it was or get away. Might've been able to run fast enough, I've got not idea how fast they normally are on land.
