Author has this really big problem of glorifying the MC. He has never cultivated and is still inexperienced and could have used some Character Development. But Author makes every secondary Character either invisible or a really shitty person. There needs to be a "Cool Grandpa" who will teach him laying low and stuff but author just keep discrediting them. The City lord was earlier presented as shrewd and calculating but now he is just an impatient man wanting to use him, such a fucking let down. He even went far as to descredit Alisa's efforts to decrease his arrogance and proved that this shitty MC was right all along and she has been the dumb one.
In the end, he could wait no longer. The matter he needed Ryu for was fast approaching and he could only swallow his pride to make a trip here personally, thinking that at the very least, Ryu would be eager to see him. But, who knew that this young man wouldn't even bother with his presence?!

He has no right to say he changed the fate. Author has quite the problem of glorifying the MC that he is right and whatnot and it's fucking bad because he just ruined the effort Alisa put by shaming him to showing him the mirror.
