I feel like ending it with Ananke as a child is more emotionally impactful. To start off as a wise sage, to a sturdy defender, she became a source of knowledge and a stable defense against the storm(😏). But to have to strongest off them all completely dissolve into a helpless child, practically begging for help from those she was meant to lead, would be a lot more impactful (to me.at least) than if she were to rapidly mature into an adult and age as a wise old women. One is 😭, while the other is 😩. Others might say otherwise l, but that's my take on it.🤔

It was so strange… Ananke had not been with them for long, but her absence felt like a gaping hole. Perhaps it was because Sunny and Nephis had witnessed her as a frail old woman, a vigorous matron, a charming young lady, and an innocent child that their time together felt like a lifetime.

He is currently drowning in debuffs atm. His current stats mean practically nothing in this situation. 🤷‍♂️

He failed to contend with the furious power of the wild current and was sent tumbling, colliding with the side of the ketch. Blinded by pain and ignoring it, Sunny reached out and caught the child priestess before she was washed overboard.

Took me a whole year to realize I spelled that wrong. 🤦‍♂️

The sound of the whetstone scraping against the blade was somehow comforting.

Just a random thought, but with the whole time concept going into effect, what if the serpent is actually a normal Nightmare Creature that is just slowly turning more mad because of the Sin if Solace from another point in time? If they are flowing down into the past, who's to say that the Serpent wasn't from further in the future? 🤔

The serpent was looking the worse for wear, with countless deep lacerations covering its mighty body. Streams of scarlet blood were flowing down its azure scales, and its giant eyes seemed even more deranged than usual. Flames of indescribable, murderous malice were burning in their cloudy depths — but, for once, that malice was not directed at the two humans.

Welp, never mind.

"I know because I can lie when I talk to you, and I also don't have to answer all of your questions. That is only possible when I am talking to myself. You asked me if I was done feeling sorry for myself? I was not compelled to answer. You asked if I was afraid of you? For a moment or two, I was, and yet I was able to say that I wasn't. So…"

How I see it, he's not afraid of the Son of Solace. He's afraid of what it can DO. Technically, he's not lying when he says, "No, of course not," as he was probably referring to the object itself. Just my thoughts 🤔

"Afraid of you? Nonsense! Of course not."

My thoughts exactly. Like being trapped until they finish. 🤔

All my life, all my years of mentally autocorrecting speech while reading it, has led up to this one moment. And I...am failing miserably.

Palatial: "Resembling a palace in being spacial and splendid." This message was sponsored by Google. 😎

They managed to reach the ruin before the ancient dead rose from beneath the sand. The structure they used as shelter was palatial and vast, isolated from the desert by a wide field of black glass. It didn't seem like a building that people were supposed to live in, though.

Makes me wonder if there is a limit to their population. Or are they just manifesting without end? If enough are killed in a zone pre gate spawn, then there would be nothing to worry about kinda logic. 🤔

The desert was wide and flawlessly white, and the towering figures of abominations were moving across it with measured steps, separated from each other by a considerable distance. Their shadows were like long lines of stark blackness.
