This has zero basis for how science works even if we account for fantasy 🐂 💩. If there were free floating fragments or non standard dna a new way would be needed to process and understand it. Starting from conformation analysis then finding new ways to sequence let alone inserting fragments or gene editing. So for me to pass this over we calling it magic and not thinking on this anymore.

Pocked should be poked here. Pocked is an adjective “marked by holes, pits or pustules” whereas poked is a verb “jab or prod / thrust in a direction”
