thank you for yet another chapter, dear author! winter is maria and maria is winter so... even though she has changed a lot throughout the story/chapters, she is still her old self in a way. a young and old soul. i have a small inkling on who pushed her and who caused the whole smoke thing to happen but... i'll keep it to myself and as usual... i'm looking forward to the next chapter!!

thinking back on this, i kind of thought this way bc the thought of death happening to someone i didn’t think would happen to (although i knew it could happen anytime) happened. i just never thought how painful it would feel losing someone you love, how it feels like you will never recover from it, especially if you haven’t seen them in so long. until it happened to me. i guess this is the horrible human irony. you never think about something seriously/deeply until it happens to you.
She never understood why others would cry when someone died. No one could live forever. They would eventually die one by one, so why couldn't they accept that a family member was gone and continue their life?
