So if I understand correctly, you are removing the first 24 chapters (ch 1 safe ❤️) and jumping straight into mc’s journey. Rewriting but vaguely following the original, instead of changing the beginning a bit and jumping back to where you stopped. But what about all the setup they (1-24) contain. Example: catching Mew, meeting the others at camp, him getting adopted by the Oak family, growing up with Green. And how will new readers learn about this? Will it be quickly mentioned in new ch 1 or brought up in flashbacks? And yes, I know most of this will be answered tomorrow, it’s rhetorical. I’m mostly just voicing my thoughts. But overall, I thought the setup/world-building arc was well made. It wasn’t bad, maybe cringy at some parts. Just reshape it a bit when it gets too superkid mumbo. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that your story was enjoyed by others, and not to focus too hard on every little mistake, as artists tend to do.
