I just hope that the girl sounded as pleasant as her name. I didn't want Pudding pissed at me for giving one of her young away to a bad trainer, I know I was already pushing it by doing this in another dimension.

This is just a What-IF short for fun. It's not canon, and it was something I wanted to write just to get out of my head.
Won't confirm anything, but...he's actually the second Final Fantasy character that's (though not shown) introduced. The first one was in the beginning of the Halcyon Days (1) along with the mentioned name of another FF character in the Danmachi world.
Pretty much. He got taken down by a "Level 2" adventure in ONE hit right in front of his crush (Ais) at the Hostess of Fertility. There wouldn't any reason why he wouldn't kill himself and cover for this slight.
"He is a Level 6 after all." Chi furthered his point.

Several centuries into the future, and...[SPOILER].
In her hand was a red, one-edged sword with a white inner edge. A yellow wing which swept around it, formed what looked to be the teeth to the weapon. On the hilt blending into grey was the symbol of a rainbow-colored ring. The handle was a deep red, and the guard around it was another sweeping wing, colored blue and with it not fully connecting to the other end of the blade's guard. Dangling from the end of the guard was a keychain resembling a shooting star with a bowshock.

Yeah, it was meant to come across like that but you can tell that he's forcing himself to act that way. He's still caring, but he's incredibly cautious since if word got out about the alter ego (a recent myth amongst adventurers in Orario) that he used during his Ordeal of the Heart, and that it was actually him. Then the amount of attention that he'll get would skyrocket and gain more unwanted detractors (like Ishtar, Apollo and other Evilus gods), who would try to get to him through his Familia. Plus, he's very cautious around her because the elf girl's Goddess (Loki) and if she somehow slipped up and told her Goddess, who's always butting heads with Hestia, then she'll definitely spill the beans as part of some game like how most other Gods treat their descent in the Lower World.
It's a line break.

Though she was initially put off by the idea of wearing another kimono, Ghislaine quickly learned that Baiken's 'bancho' attire was anything but restrictive. It emphasized her cleavage to an almost ludicrous extent, but, as Baiken was a master swordswoman, her attire was even easier to move in than Ghislaine's usual outfit. The only downside was that it wasn't even remotely suited to formal occasions, so Paul forked over an additional 100 AGC to acquire her a fairly modern-looking pantsuit. He originally tried to get her to wear a smock-like dress with a corset, but Ghislaine refused to even humor the idea of wearing a piece of clothing that compressed her diaphragm and made it difficult to contort her body. Her swordsmanship revolved around her natural agility and flexibility, so the only corset she would consider wearing was the lace one Paul sometimes had her and the other girls don in the bedroom...
