yeah, after i saw your comment, i looked up the premise for the fic and found it on ff.net. imagine my shock when the 30+ chapters here were only the first 5 chapters broken up

you could make the fiction he interacts with as instances, fake, but based on events that happened in their real universe. Now that Mercy gained consciousness in the instance she is now connected to her real self. They both can communicate with each other, and MC can trade stuff from other worlds for a far less energy cost (items that don't show up in-game like research papers, blueprints, etc) Through the instanced Mercy. Zombra could hack MC's phone, regain consciousness, place a virus on it, and MC goes to his real world, and the virus affects the ps4 and tv he's using as a medium for travel and Zombra travels through to the real world. Both events could show MC that he isn't limited to the games and could actually travel to their real universes and be an inter-dimensional merchant/mercenary. ps. he should have used the staff on his family members just in case any have early stage cancer or something.
