Nothing is wrong with the society. It is a villain story and like other stories where we get the hero's POV to understand their personality, conviction and motivation in life, here we are getting the same thing from Villain's perspective. We are taking a look at the twisted and psychotic mind of a villain like the movie Perfume. People going into this story knows that it is not some fluffy superhero or antihero tale but a story of the ultimate villain with no remorse, no regret, no morals, and how twisted and sick his mindset is! I dunno what you were thinking starting this story, but don't act like some justice warrior just coz people over here are sane enough to know that they are reading a fictional story of the ultimate villain and their villainous act!

The story was nice and fun to read. However, the ending was really rushed. There were characters with who the FL had connections in her last life whose fate were left with loose. Many characters were not introduced properly and just seemed to crop out of nowhere and I was left confused who they were like Grandpa Lin and the black haired boy who ran errands for Cao er. The story about Lin Jin was not ended as I thought there was more to it as they went to the capital after his getting his first place in exam. And nothing was shown of their parents and her siblings. There were also several inconsistencies. Though I enjoyed the story, there was many things left to be desired.

I am honestly feel that all Chinese authors despise green flag ML. Not once have I read a Transmigration/Reborn story where I actually liked the ML. In the beginning, the story started pretty well. The FL was smart, beautiful and talented. She fought her obstacle amazingly. And I was really falling in love with this manga when ML happened. This ML is also the same obnoxious, stalking, obsessive, over possessive, molesting and abusive type that I could never bring myself to like. From the start, he is giving no peace to the FL, getting in her personal space, stalking her to the point of ruining all her plans, threatening and hurting any male who dares to even exchange a word with her and that includes her brother (who he blames pointlessly for something he is not at fault), manipulating everyone around her, molesting her and emotionally abusing her. It was torturous to read and I was almost HORRIFIED to see the review section where everyone was simping over the couple!! I really wanted to understand what was likeable about him?? And the FL was shown so smart and yet somehow she kept falling in the words of the ML?? And the dog Oxie was almost as annoying as it's master!! I dropped the manga when for some unbelievable reason both of them got together. I genuinely started questioning the FL's choices and cannot help but feel that no wonder her previous life was awful, she has such poor taste!!

The story would have been more enjoyable if there was any real stake. The girl was the BIGGEST Mary Sue ever!! She kept getting ever power handed to her in silver platter. Not one thing did she fought to get. The jade ring, the domain master's power, the three star matrix everything she just got it!! I understood her ruthlessness with people who were shameless and awful, but she literally had NO SENSE of gratitude towards the one saving her. I have absolutely no idea how was she misinterpreting the ML's actions! He saved her like millions of times and without anything in return and yet she had the audacity to be arrogant to him and not even one "thank you" she gave him! Instead she kept acting as if she is entitled to be saved by him. She saved his life ONCE and she thought that every time he is saving her is for that one time favor??? How many times does she need saving for that favor to be repaid??? At least be thankful that he saved you. At one point, I was so pissed that I hoped the ML leave her to die!! The only intrigue in the story was mystery of her parents death and her becoming cripple. But her having all the things handed to her and facing no challenge or obstacle, just made me lose interest!! First time, that I found the ML much likeable than the FL. He was too good for her and I hoped they did not end up together!

⚠️⚠️ SPOILER WARNING ⚠️ ⚠️ After reading several transmigration and reborn/reincarnation Chinese novels and manga, I started believing that all Chinese authors are allergic to a green flag ML. However, this manga changed my mind. This was an amazing manga from start to finish!! I read it in a different site but frankly, I am so HAPPY to find this manga. It was so well written and drawn, I have so many positive thing to say about it. I ll list the negative first so that I can simp over this outstanding manga. Negative: The one and only negative thing I found was how Jiuqing became an outstanding doctor in a span of 6 months and without practice and even surpassed so many imperial doctors. It was pretty unbelievable. None of the treatment was shown and just glossed over. It was just kinda established that she was amazing but it was not shown what all she did to be that amazing, how she tested and found the issue with her patients,how she treated them, etc . Also, the language and the sentiments of the manga was a bit modern but otherwise, manga is near perfect! Postive 1) CHARACTERS: I was genuinely surprised that how many realistic and fleshed out characters were in this manga. Jiuqing, her friends, the general, the mother, the villains, everyone was so believable and did not feel like they are their just for moving the plot forward. They all felt pretty 3D characters, not all but most. PLOT: I have to admit this was the star point of this manga. The small plot points connecting to an overarching story that slowly revealed itself was very well done. I was so engaged with the story and it was very immersive and not drawn out for the sake of dragging the story. DRAWING: The drawing, though not the best, but was really well done. I loved the muted colors giving an ancient feel as if I am looking at a painting. The character's features were kinda blurry but the tone down background, and the ancient empire felt very aesthetically beautiful. Villain: I think this was a huge game changer for this manga. The villains were not all 1D mandatory villains to create obstacles for protagonists but they were actually true threats esp Lady Yan, fourth prince & the Emperor!! What was even more amazing was that the author showed that the FL and ML were not always winning but they came back strong from a loss. The conspiracies and schemes were so well written, it really made me worried for all the main leads and how they would overcome it. It was so suspenseful and immersive! Kudos to the author!! Last but not the least but I think it needs to be mentioned MALE LEAD: The biggest issue I had with all reborn/transmigration Chinese manga or novels has always been the ML.The MLs are so utterly dislikeable that I always ended up dropping the novel/manga after just a few chapters. There is never a sense of genuine bond or connection between ML and FL. It always felt very forced, one sided & obsessive. **This manga was an Exception** The ML was such a **green flag**. Yes, there were moments of jealousy and possessiveness but it was never to an extent that it turned me off. The ML was very respectful towards the FL, never got into her personal space, was understanding of her situation and profession, was protective but never overdid it, and the best of all, they formed such a real and genuine bond. Here, the love was not forced or obsessive, the ML never did anything unsightly like stalking, sexual harrasment, possessive to the point of not giving any space to the FL or letting her even speak to someone of opp gender or threatening any male who speak to FL, all of which has become a staple in all these reborn novel/manga. Their bond slowly developed over time and both gradually fell in love. I always felt butterflies in my stomach during their scenes and it felt so real. The love did not develop in weeks but it took months and years for them to form a true bond and the ML was so loveable that you cannot help but love him!!
