Is there ever a meeting or confrontation with MCs family and if so around where? I’m talking about Selena and Leon or the sisters?

It was jarring wasn’t it? This is when I decided to look at the reviews. And where I decide to drop the book.

You do realize I was talking about having reread Rof Strongest Sword God, which this book is based. Around chapter 1100 is where I decided that I has been wrong in my initial review of this book, I think I wrote something along the line that this book didn’t improve on anything from the original. To be fair I haven’t read any of this book in awhile, so at this point I don’t recall much of what was happening at the time, but the point I think I was making was that the characters in this book felt more layered then the characters that they were based on.

I’ll start with the good, chapter release is reliable. The world is interesting, seems like the bonding of beasts is quite recent and the procedures are mostly trial and error. Not every procedure is perfect yet. I have no real issues with the actual quality of the writing. What tanks the score is the character design and for one specific reason, character age. I went ahead with reading the book because it seemed like they wouldn’t be young for long. Only approximately 200-300 days have gone by since the start of the series. Ten year olds don’t act like this, it almost feels like you’re reading about teenagers, I could accept the MC acting differently due to his inherited knowledge, but this specifically pulls me out of the narrative. To me it also adversely affects the actual story development. The short of it, interesting take on a familiar bonding method, but if you don’t like stories with children characters that act outside what you’d expect in children then it’s best to skip. If you don’t mind the kid thing then this could be for you.

It’s rare that a book creates such disguste in me, it lies to you, it promises so much and just slaps you in the face. The First Legendary Beast Master actually delivers on these promises. A book where the MC bonds with beasts that are actually interesting.

Does the MC ever talk to his siblings or parents again? I think I read until about chapter 600ish. If he does, around what chapter?
