Happy you like it. Yeah, descriptions are difficult for me, since I don't really have much knowledge of it. Dialogue though, is my forte.
They will, maybe even soon.
And well it kinda stuck, with only Mikael and Elijah, being the ones who truly see past it. Something Vali isn't really aware of.

Vali will have his development. Though I won't say when his confidence will become misplaced, but it will eventually. Vali is powerful, very much so, but not completely invincible. There are still beings that can challenge him and in his current state where he's still not that experienced able to beat him.
Vali and Stefan will have their complicated friendship in the future.
We'll have to see that. I don't want to spoil the adventure by already saying whether he can do it or not.
In the show it was more unexpected I believe. Mikael just coming in and slaughtering everyone real fast, but since Vali is here, that isn't really easy, cause in a state of battle, he'll get far more into his warrior mentality and break free. This way, it is no warrior fight, but treachery, shock so great, it overshadows any willingness to fight back.
Rebekah's eyes fluttered, the poison pulling her into unconsciousness. The terror in her eyes remained as her words faltered one last time. "Father... why? I trusted you…"

Farewell then. I don't know what disappointed you, but I hope you find what you're looking for elsewhere.
Ken is in the fic yes, but from what I have researched, the reason he can do that is simply because his magical power is supposedly "divine" in nature, meaning so strong it can manipulate lesser magical phenomena. It isn't a law like ability, like the First Blade's all-killing ability, that is just the blade's nature, meaning can't be negated. If you can die, you will die thing. So, even though the Mark is a curse, it's too potent of a curse, made from all evil, that Ken can't manipulate it.
No, that would go against the laws of the TVD universe and would make it to me a bit too, idk, Mary Sue ish. Even Hope, who's a tribrid lost a lot of her connection to magic and couldn't preform it the same way after she became a vampire as well. I'll rather keep both Henrik and Freya full witches.

He'll be able to destroy a lot simply by existing in the form of a cascade of natural disasters, like earthquakes, floods, etc.
Also, Vali is kind of Eldritch in nature, but worry not, the max power of this world is probably going to mountain level at most.
