I also heard about a similar case where the lady didn't have any idea until she was almost ready to give birth, and I didn't mean to argue the possibility of Murong Jiu not showing. But, true to form, it seems like I once again failed to convey my meaning. What I was trying to get at is that I find this basically side by side comparison of pregnancy development between two characters in similar situations and the distinction based on their roles ridiculous. I don't have an ounce of pity for her, thus I don't really mind it, but it feels like Murong Qian as the scheming, two-bit villainess is being punished by the author with her baby developing at a faster rate and as a consequence, running out of time and options faster. Meanwhile, Murong Jiu as the protagonist is being favored by having smaller fetuses and not showing at all despite being further along and having twins, so the main couple can pretend they got pregnant after the wedding. And she could even hide her condition longer from the public if not for her severe morning sickness and many well-wishers. Looking at is from this angle it feels a bit funny.
