Honestly I'm surprised they won't try to cope with situation by saying something like "it's a clone so it's weaker". Though they probably will do so in next chapters. Also I wonder who will be "rejected" as the title says. Wang Teng "exposed" his clone skill but I don't think he would get rejected from doing all 3 planets at once.

It was more because any ordinary clone was unable to handle indirect connection with Desolate's karma through Xu Qing's divine body. I Don't remember to well right now so I may be mistaken but was the karma cut off truly and completely? Also now Xu Qing's Extreme Immortal body should be connected by karma with the existence behind the wish mask which is clearly terrifying too because: -it is aware of Desolate and has some designs on him wanting his statue from the new Purple-Green Kingdom/Divine Land -the mask was able to create a body like that(vastly surpassing the limits of normal cultivation) from a Great Emperor just by itself -it informed Xu Qing of repayment method through the spacetime tunnel between Star Rings If I'm mistaken regarding my earlier point and this mask was truly able to cut off Desolate's karma(which mind you it is single most powerful entity in all 36 upper Star Rings and the only existence half-step into the level that the "creator" of those Star Ring may be) while still allowing Xu Qing to comfortably control the Divine Avatar then it would be extremely close to Desolate's level. And that too doing so remotely using mask as the medium or even mask doing it by itself(which would make it even more terrifying). Also if I recall only the lord of this current Fifth Star Ring(Fifth Human Ancestor) is relatively close to Desolate in power if the clearness/visibility of figure on map of Star Rings is based on strength.

Now I must say it's pretty interesting that Xu Qing got himself another body to cultivate and while his advancement(and got to Soul Accumulation while the Divine Avatar will stay on lower level for much, much longer) speed is faster he still will be stumped by Ninth and Tenth Extremity.
These thoughts appeared in Xu Qing's mind.
