While this is definitely BS, it’s worth noting that other methods of getting superhuman strength do exist in this world, as seen when 6 year old Red Lotus created spheres of sword light, disappeared from view for several seconds, and reappeared having sliced a boulder in half, all without using a gu worm. He was obviously unbelievably talented, but give a decently talented mortal an entire life to practice a good technique and something similar may be possible.
"Tell me in detail about the great warriors and hunters you know in your life," Chen Wei says, not caring much about this monk since one of them teaching martial arts to mortals is common in this world where strength is everything, with some charlatans even claiming to be able to defeat Gu Masters.

Honestly, all of this going so horribly wrong could genuinely turn out to be beneficial for Giant Sun in the end. Let’s assume for example that Fang Yuan is definitely going to be the overall winner of the venerable war. This means he will inevitably get rid of the other venerables, killing and eating as many as necessary until he manages to remove his body’s flaw. Giant Sun is especially attractive to him as many of us have observed because he has two venerable apertures, Longevity Heaven and his own current one. If Giant Sun causes Star Constellation to die quicker, Fang Yuan will likely eat her first, sparing Giant Sun’s life for some time, and if he helps Fang Yuan enough, he may manage to kill more venerables and resolve his body’s flaw before Giant Sun’s execution becomes necessary. Fang Yuan may even spare Giant Sun completely, letting him live as his subordinate if he is useful enough and no longer needs venerable apertures, as Fang Yuan has stated he would rather have a venerable subordinate than simply annexing yet another aperture. It’s a very pessimistic outcome for Giant Sun, but he’s been heavily emphasizing lately that his luck path methods will definitely be beneficial, just not necessarily in the ways he wants or needs. It seems perfectly possible it decided to help him by giving up on victory immediately and acting to at least preserve his life in the future by proving his usefulness to the unstoppable Fang Yuan.
"I have modified this move recently, indeed… there should be… probably… not much of an issue."

Yes, but not the rank 5 version, which can be more useful. We’ve seen in cases like second aperture gu, the previous rank of a gu is not necessary needed to refine the next one, so GS originally only invented ranks up to 4 then rank 6 directly. This new one will be more potent than the rank 4 version while not requiring immortal essence or being limited to only one existing like the rank 6 version.
Earlier, he was only using rank four blood skull Gu, but Giant Sun Immortal Venerable had a newly developed rank five version.

He’s insulting Linlin, not saying anything against the child. He’s upset that she’s being so negligent to her future innocent child by coming to fight in a war and putting them in unnecessary danger.
The Vice Admiral had a lover of his own—a simple and mundane woman whom he cherished with everything. The two recently thought of having a child and seeing the current Linlin left him furious.

It’s probably a ratio issue, like it’s okay to have one soul path dao mark for every ten enslavement path ones, but any more and the conflicting dao marks start weakening enslavement path methods by a noticeable amount. This means that it becomes acceptable to have a more powerful soul once his enslavement foundation increases, but there needs to be a balance. We know that all apertures have dao marks from other paths such as time and space that decide their size and rate of time, and since that’s never been mentioned as a dao mark conflict before, comparatively small amounts likely cause negligible conflict.
Wu Shuai was a dragonman who cultivated enslavement path, soul path cultivation was just a supplementary method. The stronger his soul foundation, the more soul path dao marks he would have, and the more it would restrict his enslavement path development.

I don’t think this is ever truly explained, but I believe reverse flow river itself would actually be able to stop dream path methods, just that the killer move reverse flow protection seal is unable to. It’s important to note that Fang Yuan isn’t literally wearing the river around him when using this move, but is instead using it as part of a killer move that produces a separate defence. It most likely uses countless other gu worms to redirect the effects of attacks to the river in his aperture, which then nullifies them, but as he has no way of affecting dream path methods, they would just hit him directly without being redirected. Also, other paths are definitely capable of blocking dream path methods, it’s just that it’s so new that the ways to do so have not been discovered yet.
If there were to be a dream path tribulation, how would Fang Yuan defend against it? Even reverse flow protection seal would be useless at that time.

I think it’s a bit of conflict between what logically makes sense based on what whitebeard’s fruit is and what it actually does. First of all, it’s name, basically being the ‘quake fruit’. It doesn’t sound like pure destruction, and the ability to just cause earthquakes or even the complete control over vibrations that it actually is doesn’t seem as ‘purely destructive’ as a fruit that’s sole purpose is to directly cause everything it touches to fall apart. That seems a lot more like pure destruction. Now from the other angle, what the fruit actually does. It’s vibration force is so powerful that whitebeard’s every attack is devastating, the earthquakes being more of a natural consequence of his immense power than the primary source of his ability. It also seems to be capable of accumulating power almost indefinitely given its rumoured ability to destroy the entire world, and it has been shown to be able to destroy even immaterial things like the air, so perhaps it could even do more, we simply haven’t seen its limits. This fruit’s aftershocks have also been shown to cause rampant destruction that’s completely out of the user’s control, causing allies to be forced to fight far away from him to avoid being caught in the crossfire. The rampant, raw, uncontrollable power could certainly be seen as more ‘pure’ destruction then the controlled, comparatively peaceful disassembly that Damian’s fruit causes. Then comes the reverse again, why is this fruit so powerful, and why can it do this? If the quake fruit can destroy the world given enough power, can’t basically any other fruit? Could Ace’s fruit turn the world to Ashes? Could Aokiji’s freeze the world? Could Damian’s cause the world to fall apart? Perhaps it’s more about mastery and the user, that the quake fruit is only so mighty and feared because Whitebeard himself is so powerful and has mastered his fruit so completely, and that any other fruit in its place would also seem like destruction incarnate? But this doesn’t seem to be the case as Blackbeard was also able to draw immense destructive power and almost sink marineford seconds after acquiring this fruit. Perhaps so much power can be drawn from the earthquake fruit because it’s power is that of the entire earth shaking, but surely it could be surpassed by any fruit that isn’t limited by the concept of a single natural disaster or planet? Basically, it’s so powerful and destructive because we’re told it is, and it doesn’t really make sense why. Honestly both sides of the argument make plenty of sense to me, and it’s just a matter of perspective and who makes the rules in this imaginary world. Since both you and Oda seem to agree that the quake fruit is the most dangerous and destructive one, then it surely can be, but the confusion and debate is also understandable.

Not saying I disagree with the decision to not spare anyone, but it seems a bit odd that his ‘wives’ can be freely spared, but no one else. Surely he should have to kill them as well to prove his loyalty to only himself over even them, right?
This might seem like a joke of fate after the acts he committed, but Chen Wei fully understands why this is the Loyalty Gu, being the reason he chose to betray others, becoming loyal only to himself, so if given to others it would become the Betrayal Gu.

To be clear, it’s a little more complicated than this, as not just any innovation will do this. According to the original story, there has to be a qualitative increase in the profundity of the path, something that the current supreme grandmaster wouldn’t be able to understand himself at a glance. Not saying this new innovation of death refinement wouldn’t qualify to do this, it certainly could, just clarifying that it isn’t as easy as just making something new in secret.
To be a Supreme Grandmaster, you need to know more than anyone in a certain path, and that includes heavens will. So in theory, it takes only one person to invent something never seen before, and the supreme would lose that title.

I believe the author previously mentioned this is because it represents the concept of destruction. Personally, I feel that Damien’s fruit would fit this just as well, or perhaps some combination of the two, but this is how it’s been established so far.

Earlier in the chapter he mentions having learned a trick from Iroh, which is likely a typo that should be Iron. This is just explaining who that is.

While that’s semantically true, it’s good to clear things up with those he is willing to trust with the truth, especially due to the implications with the title. As seen with Haru, being an earthbender at all is a crime to the fire nation, and while I don’t recall it being specifically shown, the same is likely true of being a water or airbender. Similarly, just about anyone not from the fire nation will assume you’re a heartless monster if you claim to be a firebender.
"No. I am not a firebender, and I am not the Avatar, but I am highly proficient in waterbending, above average in earthbending, just beginning to master fire, and almost incapable in airbending. So, I can pass myself off as a firebender."

Interesting parallel that this is effectively the same attack we saw Star and Stripe use earlier when she condensed a nuke into a spear. Of course , Horizon doesn’t need an existing nuke nearby to use it.
But less than a second later all the radiation seems to disappear as Horizon strikes out at Machia with a glowing spear of solid radiation.

This seems mistranslated, and should likely be “Former. Governers. Where?” instead. Based on the next line and the response, he’s asking about the former governors who all disappeared, which seems reasonable to ask.
So, this is the source of your savings? Well, he can't control the weather or the tides. After all, he's merely a false Governor… Lumian took the fake Governor of the Sea's new post-it note and pondered for a moment before asking in a clumsy manner, "Original. Governor. Where?"

He could probably make a decree to this effect for those with sentience. Anything that’s more mindless would follow him out of instinctive respect or fear but would likely be unable to follow a precice command like that on their own. It was a two step process. Fang Yuan twisted the big spike to reveal the hidden cave behind a fake wall, which the Bai clansmen destroyed, but the path was densely packed with bone spikes, making it impossible to go through it. Fang Yuan had to additionally pull on a small spike to make the rest retract and make it possible to go through.
