Mincemeat is a combination of chopped dried fruits, spices, sugar, nuts, distilled spirits, a fat of some type and sometimes meat. One can also mince meat by itself. I think the author was trying to state a difference between what thought was being and what actually was.

I will tell you this right now I read a handful of stories a day and when I finish one I move on to the next one and then I wait for updates on any of the stories I've read previously and I am not patient about it so when I say I loved this story it had me wanting more just be happy I wasn't blowing up your box begging for more chapters all I'm saying.
I thought he was out of bok choy so how did he put it on the plate. I'm not trying to criticize I just want to point out that if you had put something like not enough bok choy to make the dish over out of you can still add it to the plate over having to remove it from the plate in the story but I love this story so far so please keep up the good work.
