Only 14 chapters so far and we are still being introduced to the MC to what makes him, Well "him". Pacing is good, motives are somewhat clear but how can know 'everything' about another even our MC. This leaves things open for amazing, and maybe sometimes, stupid actions instead of a cookie cutter hero/anti-hero type. Give it a read to see if you agree or not.

Maturity isn't a number (age) but life experience, sadly our MC will get a bit to much as most MC's do. I hope you have him come around for his parents. I am a widower but can't really say I was a true husband (never cheated though). I am a father but also can't say I was a dad. We all have regrets but I hope your MC doesn't have that one with his parents.
