I'll only say maybe
In this early in the story, his psychometry only really allows him to feel strong emotions. There will be times where the emotions will be strong enough to hedge towards some sort of memories but as seen with Marceline's grandmother, it's nothing too clear. His skill level in it is way too low to gleam anything beyond that.
Generally, I want keep a lot of the dice rolling to be behind the screen. I try to write in a limited third-person POV, so for readers you can tell how successful a roll is by the results of whatever's happening. I hope that clears that hope a bit.
"But that doesn't make sense. We've seen him shrug off multiple high caliber bullets with ease, judging from the shard I can tell it was a 9mm. That isn't something powerful enough to punch through his skin."

Fortunecraft basically opens up degrees of success and failure, so there was at least one crit in that deluge of attacks.

He was called Lovecraft because that's the name he gave to the agency, a way to separate himself from any of his shadier dealings.
Something similar at least but I plan on taking things in a different direction.
In this AU, HP Lovecraft doesn't exist in this universe. Nor does any of his work. It's why Willow had the reaction she did and as for that last? I'll keep that to myself, it's a spoiler of sorts.
To answer your questions in order: Yes, his spark is pretty rare so eventually he'll become a hot commodity. And as for the familiar part? It's been on my mind a lot lately, there isn't alot on familiars in any of the Call of Cthulhu books I got my hands on. I'll probably create a ritual to do something similiar, but to answer your question: it's a yes.
Yeah, the joker knows not to mess with the irs. It's a theory the reason why is because they can send him to actual prison instead of being institutionalized.
Hell, even the Joker pays his taxes. That's enough to tell anyone not to try anything like Rueben here was doing.
