It's been years since I read the legacy saga, but I understand that the dragon riders end up slowly changing (especially the humans) due to the pact created at the beginning of everything between the first dragons and their first riders, coincidentally the first dragon rider was an elf called Eragon, it is because of this pact that normally the riders of other species such as humans little by little change a little to something similar to an elf, can you correct me if I am wrong since it was ago time I read the saga.
