why use a seafaring frigate when you can use a spacefaring one?😆 but realistically, he prob 3d printed the aircraft carrier in the apocalypse. no way he has frigates or corvettes that can handle repeated atmospheric entry much less cruisers or battleships or any capital ship for that matter.
so basically a modular design like stellaris ships. makes sense, he can swap a carrier core to an artillery core. it does get expensive but you have flexibility to respond accordingly albeit time in doing retrofit is horrendous. money isnt a problem since you can earn a fck ton of it.
