This is sad. In the game, the devs try to make Ulfric look like a patriot, a selfless leader instead of a selfish, power-hungry idiot. When you walk into the Windhelm palace for the first time, you just have to listen to his speech. A smarter person would have realized that the Empire was the last line of defense for Skyrim against the Dominion. Every nord who took part in the Great War should know this. Weakening your only safety net and Skyrim in a war is stupid.
No one spoke, or even made much noise for that matter, as we stepped out of the woods in all our bloodied glory, the Stormcloak camp and thus victory firmly in our sights.
