He's subconsciously limiting his abilities to the in-game "skills". But it's real life for him now. He can do a lot more beyond the set skills. He's free to use the void and the light in any way he wants. Make his own skills. His imagination is his limit.
Void's eyes narrowed at 'subconsciously limiting'. He didn't want to admit it, but it was true. After all, playing Destiny for all those years definitely had an impact on how he chose to live in this world. Overall, it was very helpful, he knew more about combat tactics than an average hunter, but his 'understanding' of light was rudimentary at best.

It's pretty good. Gives us an insight into the inner workings of the gems. But I kinda felt this was a bit too much for one chapter. Maybe just make them into mini chapters in the future? One or two gem POVs per mini chapter?
