Let me put it in more context when I said this author chopped up the chapters and that whatever is shown here is still a long ways away. Chapter 111: Chapter 110 in this novel is just the start of Chapter 17 in The Spider, which has 98 chapters btw before the original author stopped. Maybe depending on how generous this author is with the word count, he has caught up at Chapter 650 or something. Do you really expect people to pay to read Chapters 115-650 at his Patreon when (1) he doesn't own it and (2) it's available and free at fanfiction which was posted by the original author and gets appropriately credited for his work?

You mean the Patreon thing? And? Dude I can understand that IF the novel was his but technically his ownership starts at his continuation. Which goes back to my initial inquiry of why not post the entire The Spider novel prior to his continuation? I'm not sure how far along chapter 831 is since he pretty much chopped up each original chapter into several of his own chapters, but if it's way beyond as you said, that should be plenty of stock. Unless, the author expects us to subscribe to his Patreon to view the part of The Spider that's basically free to read in fanfiction by the original author?

Reasonable... but still... it's scary you know. The Spider is one of my favorite fanfics and it's a long way to go before where the supposed continuation starts. What if this gets dropped before even letting me take a glance at the continuation? Then my hopes would've been up for nothing.

I forgot to add that the reason I called those labels dumb is that EVEN if you remove them, it will not affect the story flow whatsoever. Time skips and scene changes are only necessary IF there is a drastic change that may have the readers point out "what the heck happened?". Do you really think I'd ask that question if the time skip you placed in a chapter is when the MC is thinking about existential questions for one measly freakin' hour? While not moving from the same damn spot? And no significant change occurred like growing up or getting immensely stronger? If you're so damn insistent on it, why don't you put a time skip when he falls asleep huh? It's definitely more than an hour with the same conditions of not moving from one spot and no changes happening, so why haven't I seen a time skip there? Let me tell you why, it's because it's stupid to do a time skip on sleep with nothing else happening, that's why. The only exception to that is if that sleep is a coma and a significant amount of time has passed so there will definitely be some change, like I don't know, maybe growing up a few years depending on how long he was in a coma? Jesus...

Hold up, let me think for a second and gather my thoughts to write a decent review... - -Time skip- - After a few seconds on ruminating about what to say... Updates are quite slow but the story is interesting. Grammar and spelling are great, barely anything hard to understand or misspelled. There is one that's quite annoying to see though. If you haven't realized the sarcastic nature of the first part of my review yet, the author tends to put unnecessary time skip labels EVEN if it was just an hour or a few minutes that passed or even a short walk from one room in the same damn house to another accompanied by a "-Scene change-". Absolutely ridiculous. Don't get me wrong. I like the novel but the only things that are keeping my review from a 5 star are the slow update and that dumb time skip & scene change labels.

If it's the continuation, why can't you just post the whole story and start with your continuation?
