While at the opposite side of the city.
A man stood at the floor-to-ceiling window of his study, gazing out at the serene view of the Ming Tombs Reservoir, a high-end luxurious estate. The moon cast a silver glow on the rippling water, creating a sense of tranquility that eluded him. His eyes, however, remained fixed on some point beyond the horizon, his mind consumed by thoughts he couldn't shake.
Behind him, the study room was dimly lit, the only sound the soft hum of the desk lamp casting a warm glow on the polished wood. The room was a sanctuary, lined with leather-bound books and adorned with exquisite artwork. Yet, his attention remained focused on the darkness outside.
His broad shoulders were silhouetted against the window, his tailored black suit a stark contrast to the relaxed atmosphere of the room. His raven-black hair was perfectly messy, as if he'd run his hands through it moments before. The sharp angles of his face were softened by the moonlight, but his eyes remained intense, burning with a fire that seemed to simmer just below the surface.
The silence was broken only by the occasional chirp of a night bird or the distant lapping of the water against the shore. He stood there expressionlessly when a hand tucked into his pocket looking lost in thought when a knock on the door was heard disturbing the peace in the room.
"Come in" the man said still facing ahead.
Then the sound of the door opening came next. "Young Master Fu" the intruder greeted.
"Assistant Yu sent a report saying it was for you " the intruder continued.
"Keep it on the table and leave" the mysterious young master Fu said.
After the dropping it on the table the butler turned imperceptibly and left.
The mysterious figure stayed in that position for a little while longer before walking towards the table, he picked up the report and flipped through the pages before stoping at a particular page with a picture attached to it.
The corner of his lip curled up subtle as he stared down at the picture Infront of him. His eyes moved to the information beside the picture as he registered each word in his mind.
