Mother Aoki became anxious and wanted to make his oldest son take him to where his sibling is. Father Aoki, on the other hand, had a mixed feeling, he wanted to have his other son within his sight in order to know that he won't destroy the happiness of his daughter but a part of him was telling him that it is better that Ethan was not with them.
