Capítulo 6: Elevated Above Earth

What felt like an eternity of endless steps, Venator finally reached the very top, tthe air was cold as he took a long deep breath, tired from the walk up. The temple was massive, populated by large groups of people walking around, smaller statues lay on the sides of cobblestone paths going to different buildings on the left and right sides. Small in size, already packed with people inside while they prayed inside, with a few even praying outside. Shrubs, bushes, among other flora were strewn about. On the entrance of the other paths were green arches adorned with vines hanging on them as passerby enter underneath.

The statue was far larger up close, standing tall above everything else on the temple, providing fair shade beneath it on the ground.

"They really do have a deep love for their goddess to do so much of this." Venator commented, staring in awe.

Venator walked on the concrete path. A cold wind breezed through as leaves swayed around,

As he walked around the statue's platform, he discovered a building built into the mountain directly, a large bell was suspended in a small tower above it. Banners bearing symbols of trees and other flora hung above the building, swaying in the wind like leaves. A long stairwell went up to the building with hundreds of other people already making their way up to it.

Venator joined in with the crowd, people all around chatted away on the steps as the bell began ringing once more.

A trip up, the building's doors were adorned with gold and vines with bushes standing around the path forward.

Inside, benches lined up left and right, reaching to the very front of this massive place, there was no statue however, instead, an altar stood above all else at the front, behind it, a tree stood, decorated with lamps and other decorations. Lanterns hanging on ropes above gave light to the inside.

Venator headed back out, now trying to find a concealable location to form a portal. With no places inside to form a portal undetected, he stepped back out. Walking down the stairs, Venator looked around, as he stepped down the stairs, he took out his book. Venator began skimming the book, finding the page of the portal.

His hand stopped on the page, the text burned into it was different, this time reading "The realm of Silva" Above. The burnt text though left a faint hue of green on the outside of each letter.

While walking, he found a suitable spot, behind one of the prayer buildings. Cautiously, he went to the back of the building, still holding his book. With an arm extended out, a portal formed on the wall.

Venator stepped inside the portal, leaving the temple behind him. Now arriving at Silva's realm.

A garden, lush with bright green leaf trees standing tall, providing shade for Venator below, beautiful flowers blooming on bushes grew all around. The scent of petrichor dominated the place. A bright sky above illuminated the realm. As he looked around, the bushes began parting, forming a pathway of small grass forward.

Venator began following the path. The air felt moist around the garden. Looking around, the garden almost seemed infinite with little to no end of the plants and trees in sight.

As he walked further down, more trees stood on the sides, providing more shade to Venator.

On the walk, he heard someone humming. Venator started walking at a slower pace, reaching the source of the humming voice. A woman knelt on the side of a bush, tending to it, she started plucking from the bush, from the empty spots she plucked, more vibrant colored flowers bloomed out almost instantly. She turned her head to Venator while he watched. Standing up quickly at the sight of him.

The woman wore a dress of white with green lines streaming down the entire attire.

"I see that you have saved a village of my followers, extinguishing the flame before it could spread. You came all the way to the strongest source of magic power to visit me." She spoke, her voice was calming and soothing while she talked.

"I see that you're here on business, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Silva, I have been told of tales from the other gods. That you deal with those who wield magic." She plucked another flower from one of the bushes. As she gazed at it, the flower began wilting away.

"If that is so, I do have one problem to be dealt with."

"Is it more bandits or raiders?" Venator asked.

"Neither, it's a group of magic users just like you, wielding undeserved power to wreak havoc and cause destruction all they go." She sighed in sadness. The woman dropped the wilted flower on the ground gently. As it lay on the ground, it began to heal, returning to a beautiful flower.

"Far from this temple they reside, residing in a town, one they hold for themselves, turning the people in it into makeshift fighters or guards, they attack any who wander close to the town, or even people who live nearby, those who worship I and those who left the forest. They care not other than destruction and the lust for domination on the land. Many of my followers and the people of this world have perished because of them. Any who ventured to face them, from small groups to armies, all returned burned, or never returned at all." Her tone became upset as she explained.

"No matter how much more I heal the forest and grow more flora to thrive on the landscape once more, they will return to destroy it."

"What shall I get in return to face them?" The woman grabbed the flower again, this time resting it above the bush.

"Though it will not be the full extent of the power, I may provide you magic to heal." She extended her hand to Venator, a green orb rested in her hand emanating a hue around it.

"The power to heal, it will take much energy to use but it shall save the user from small cuts to deadly wounds." She explained, the glow slowly dissipated. A faint image formed next to the two. One of the village talked about.

"Very well, consider it done." Venator agreed to the task, with the location at hand, he looked down at the portal's page once more.

With his book, he began forming the portal. The portal was slower as it tried to find the village.

In a minute, the portal finished forming.

"If I may add Venator." She spoke.

"Please do not harm the normal folk, they have done little wrong. Along with that please protect the forest around the village." She requested.

"I shall, no need to worry." Venator replied.

Venator stepped through, leaving the lush calming garden and the woman.
