Capítulo 7: New clothes
Teruma's scent fills the air around me and we are so close that I am sure he can feel my heart pounding in my chest. Even though I am dizzy from sensory overload, I mange to pull myself away and distance myself by at least two tail lengths.
"I think over there would be a good spot for you to sleep," I eek out as I point to the wall opposite of Nobu's bed.
Teruma looks up at me with his eyes blazing with seduction as he purrs, "are you sure?"
"Yes" I squeak, much faster and at a much higher tone than I expected.
"Hmm" he looks disappointed as he slowly stands up and stretches his long, thin arms.
Three deep breaths and I can feel the heat from my body start to dissipate. My heart is still racing, though, and I can feel it heavily in every part of body.
I jump when Nobu lands on the lip of the caves entrance with barely the sound from his large obsidian wings. He walks swiftly over to me and stares, standing so close that I notice that he smells like wind on a cold winters day.
"He didn't try anything did he"Nobu questions?
"You didn't give us time to, why don't you leave again?" Teruma quips
"Hah" Nobu turns slightly away from me, finally breaking eye contact. In the flickering lights, I can see more of his feature, and while it is still sharp, he is actually hairy handsome; if only his personality was different.
"Here" Nobu breaks my thoughts as he shoves two packets of clothes in my hands.
"The pink one with the green leaves is for day and the blue one is to sleep in. Try not to get them dirty, I had to borrow them from my sister. "
"Thank you" I reply honestly
Nobu looks at me, as if surprised I thanked him and then states "well, don't just stand there in wet clothes, if you get sick and die, well have to pay the price."
Moving quickly, I walk around the corner at the back of the cave to see a dimly lit space. It is about two meters long and two meters wide. Against the wall closest to the cave is a small pallet bed with a black blanket and one small pillow. On the opposite wall is a small trickling waterfall that continues through the floor of the cave through a small hole. At least I will be able to shower, I breath a sigh of relief.
Opening the first packet, I see a robins egg blue nightgown, it is so soft that, if you were to close your eyes, you would not be able to tell you were holding anything at all. The second was a beautiful dress, light pink with a design of thin, light green leaves sewn into the material. It was just as soft as the nightgown.
I quickly, but carefully, checked to make sure there were no spying eyes. My wet clothes sloshed to the floor and I was glad to be out of them. As I picked up the pink dress, I heard a sound behind me.
"Are you done y.." Nobu starts to ask exasperatedly, but stops as he see me standing there without anything on.
Turning, he try's to keep the same tone as he says "I guess not". As son as he turns, I put on the pink dress in record time. My face is red with embarrassment, no one other than grandma has ever seen me without clothes. I can feel tears in my eyes.
"Why couldn't you wait!" I cry as I re-enter the larger room.
"It's nothing to cry over, one of us will be seeing you that way in two months time anyway". Nobu reasons as Teruma raises an eyebrow but remains sitting.
"Why! Why! Because it's my body! I don't want you to see it!" All the stress and fear and anger start to pour out of me. "Don't think for one second I want to be here, that I want to be with you! I would never , NEVER, choose this. You want to rule the forest, maybe have some decency and some empathy. I feel bad for your people if they have to deal with you as there leader!"
Teruma starts to laugh quietly as Nobu stands with his mouth open in shock.
"And you!" I point at Teruma "I do not want to be touched and I do not need your sexual harassment right now. I understand that I don't have a choice in two months but right now, just give me SPACE!" I practically scream.
Arakan, who just a moment before entered the cave, slowly sets down the rabbit he had caught and quietly says "I'm going to go get some more food" as he just as quickly exits the cave.
I turn and run into my small room to hide my tears.
