Capítulo 24: ( 24 )

Haruki lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep. His mind was consumed by the memory of Kyouko lips—the softness, the sweetness when he had stolen that kiss while she was asleep. The way her peaceful face looked in that moment played over and over in his mind.

He couldn't stop thinking about what it would feel like if Kyouko kissed him back, not just in a stolen, secret moment, but openly, willingly. If she looked at him the way he looked at her, and their lips met in a passionate, mutual embrace, it would be everything he wanted. He imagined her warmth, the feeling of her body pressed against his, and the thrill of knowing that she wanted him as much as he wanted her.

Haruki sighed, frustrated that these thoughts kept him awake. His desire for Kyouko had only grown since the moment he kissed her, and now it was all he could think about. He knew he loved Sayaka, but what he felt for Kyouko was something deeper, something that stirred a primal need in him. If only she would kiss him openly, without hesitation, he would be the happiest man alive.

The thought of Kyouko returning his kiss fueled his longing, and the more he imagined it, the more restless he became. He turned over in bed, knowing sleep would be impossible with these thoughts swirling in his mind. All he wanted was Kyouko, and the idea of her lips on his haunted him, making his desire grow stronger by the minute.

Haruki reached for his phone, unable to resist the temptation any longer. He opened the gallery and scrolled through the pictures until he found the one he had secretly taken of Kyouko—the one where she wore the dress he had bought for her. She had asked him to take a picture using her phone, but in that moment, Haruki couldn't help but snap a photo with his own phone as well, when she wasn't looking.

In the photo, Kyouko stood confidently in the dress, her curves perfectly accentuated, her smile radiant. She looked so beautiful, so sexy, and so full of life. Haruki eyes traced the lines of her body—the way the dress hugged her figure, the way her hair fell softly over her shoulders. Everything about her in that moment was intoxicating.

He couldn't stop staring at the photo. It captured her allure perfectly—the way she could be both elegant and sensual at the same time. Her beauty, her charm, her energy—everything about her made his heart race. She looked so young, so vibrant, and Haruki felt the heat of desire rise within him as he continued to gaze at her image.

A part of him felt guilty for taking the picture without her knowing, but another part of him relished the secret. It was something only he had, a piece of Kyouko that was just for him. As he stared at the photo, his thoughts wandered to the kiss again, and the possibility that maybe, just maybe, Kyouko felt something for him too.

The more he looked at the photo, the stronger his desire grew. Haruki knew that if he had the chance, he wouldn't be able to hold back. He wanted her, and he was willing to take the risk, no matter the consequences.

Haruki mind drifted to the day he accidentally witnessed Kyouko's bare body when her towel slipped. It was an image that had burned into his memory—the smoothness of her skin, the flatness of her stomach, and how flawless her body seemed. No excess, no imperfection. It amazed him how her body, even more perfect than Sayaka in his mind, seemed almost unreal.

The memory intensified his desire. He wanted Kyouko—really wanted her. The idea of having her was now more than just a fleeting thought; it consumed him. But at the same time, doubts crept in.

What if he confessed his feelings and desires to her? What if it made things awkward, or worse, pushed her away entirely? The risk of ruining the delicate balance between them was real. What if she felt uncomfortable and began distancing herself from him? Or even worse, what if she exposed his feelings to Sayaka?

He knew Kyouko wasn't oblivious to the tension between them. She wasn't like other women. She was clever, deliberate in her actions, and he could feel her testing the waters with subtle hints and gestures. But crossing that line—openly admitting he wanted her—was something that could change everything.

Haruki sighed, caught in the grip of his conflicting emotions. The desire to have Kyouko was strong, but so was the fear of losing what they had. He didn't want to make a move that might ruin it all, yet the longing inside him was becoming harder to resist.

---

Kyouko woke up, as she usually did in the early morning, but something felt different. Her futon was unusually far from the bed where her husband was still snoring, dead to the world in his drunken sleep. She blinked, confused for a moment, trying to piece together how she ended up there.

All she remembered was sitting on the sofa after they got back home, looking at the picture she had taken with Haruki at the cinema—how happy and close they had seemed. She recalled feeling tired, putting her phone down, and slowly drifting off to sleep. But now, she was in her room, on a futon, far from her husband. How did she get here?

Kyouko thought hard, then a soft smile tugged at her lips. Was it Haruki? Did he lift her up and carry her here? The thought of him gently taking care of her like that made her heart flutter. But why had he placed her futon so far from her husband's bed? It wasn't like the usual arrangement when she lay nearby.

She glanced over at her husband, still oblivious to everything. The distance between them felt symbolic, like it represented how far apart they had grown over the years. And yet, the care Haruki had shown—whether deliberate or unconscious—made her feel something. He didn't just lay her down; he kept her far from her husband presence.

Kyouko's mind wandered to Haruki again, replaying the day they spent together, the moments when he held her waist, how natural and right it had felt. The excitement in his eyes, the way he looked at her, was something she hadn't felt in a long time. The thought of Haruki made her smile even more.

Maybe it was Haruki way of looking out for her, ensuring she was as far from the man who ignored her as possible. The thought warmed her, and she couldn't help but wonder what else was going through his mind when he brought her here.

"Is he jealous?" Kyouko wondered, her smile growing wider as the thought took hold. If Haruki had really gone out of his way to lay the futon far from her husband's bed, maybe it was more than just a considerate gesture. Maybe he couldn't stand the sight of her next to the man who ignored her, the man who failed to see her beauty and worth.

Kyouko heart fluttered. The idea of Haruki being jealous, of him wanting to keep her away from her husband, thrilled her in a way she hadn't felt in years. She imagined him quietly moving her, taking care to distance her from her husband's drunken state, all while thinking of her in ways she had hoped for.

"If he's jealous," she thought, "then maybe... maybe he wants me just as much as I've wanted him." The realization sent a shiver down her spine. She pictured Haruki face from last night, how he had looked at her during the movie, the way his hand had lingered on her waist, the soft tension between them. He hadn't pulled away; he had held on, even let his hand linger longer than it should have.

Kyouko smile deepened as she slowly stood up from the futon, her mind racing with possibilities. Maybe Haruki wasn't just being polite. Maybe he wanted her, craved her the way she suspected.

For now, she would let things unfold. She didn't need to rush, but the idea of Haruki quiet jealousy made her feel something she hadn't in years—desired. And she liked it.

Kyouko quietly opened the door to Haruki and Sayaka room, peeking in at the couple. Haruki and Sayaka lay in bed, cuddling closely in their sleep. Their peaceful expressions reflected a bond that Kyouko knew was strong, and yet, as she stood there watching them, something stirred deep within her—a mix of emotions she hadn't expected.

She was happy, of course. Happy that her daughter had found someone as caring and attentive as Haruki. But underneath that happiness, a sliver of jealousy crept in. Seeing Haruki wrapped around Sayaka, the way his arms held her close, made Kyouko ache with longing.

She couldn't help but imagine what it would feel like to be in Sayaka place. To have Haruki strong arms wrapped around her, to feel the warmth of his body against hers, to experience the closeness that they shared. It wasn't just about physical attraction anymore. It was the emotional connection, the comfort, and the affection that she yearned for. Kyouko bit her lip, trying to shake off the thought, but it lingered.

Jealousy mingled with her desire, and for a moment, Kyouko felt torn. She cared for Sayaka, loved her as a mother should, but there was no denying the growing desire she had for Haruki. She knew it was wrong, but part of her wanted to be the one Haruki held at night, the one he kissed and comforted.

Turning away from the scene, Kyouko gently closed the door, her heart heavy with conflicting emotions. She had to be careful. She couldn't let these feelings spiral out of control. But as she walked back downstairs, she couldn't help but wonder if there was a future where she could have both—the affection of Haruki, and the bond with her daughter.

For now, she would keep her feelings buried, but the thought of Haruki, the jealousy, and the desire were becoming harder to ignore.
