Joey and Valerie stared at each other, their eyes meeting like ruby and emerald juxtaposed.

"Senior Joey, do you work here?" asked Valerie in confusion.

"I... This is my house, this is my sister," he replied stammeringly. He felt awkward and confused about what to answer.

Especially meeting Valerie at his sister's shop, a meeting that was completely unexpected.

Seeing how Joey looked at Valerie, and vice versa, Marinda understood what was going on between the two of them. Especially after Joey looked at the broken swan glass.

"Sorry, I accidentally broke it. I..."

"It's okay, it's just a glass after all," Joey replied trying to keep smiling even though he still felt sad every time he remembered what happened to her gift.
