Capítulo 32: After the Battle

In the grand observation room, a tense atmosphere filled with awe enveloped the spectators. The elevated space offered a clear view of the arena where the battle between Ellora and Madalyn's team had just unfolded. All eyes were glued to the massive screen displaying every move and spell cast by the combatants.

Astrid, watching intently, gasped as Ellora unleashed her dimensional magic. "Look at that magic! Isn't that dimensional magic? Could she really not be from an ancient hero family?"

Valeria leaned back in her chair, observing closely. "Dimensional magic... I can't believe I'm witnessing something like this with my own eyes."

Cassandra, her face serious, meticulously jotted down every movement Ellora made. "I've only heard stories about dimensional magic, but this is the first time I've seen it in action. It's both incredible and terrifying."

Gilbert, usually optimistic, was visibly stunned. "This is beyond anything I expected. I always thought dimensional magic was just a legend. But here it is, real and powerful."

Nero, his sharp gaze reflecting deep surprise, murmured, "Ellora's completely changed the game with this. Recommending her was definitely the right call."

Lily, sitting beside Valeria and looking mesmerized, squeezed Arianne's hand with excitement. "My sister is amazing! I never imagined she could do something so extraordinary."

Arianne, her expression a mix of admiration and concern, glanced at Lily. "Ellora truly has exceptional talent. But I worry about the impact of such power on her opponents."

Astrid, still captivated by the screen, turned to Valeria. "What Ellora did by opening another dimension... it seems she truly deserves to become the 9th Regalizen Commander. What do you think, Princess Valeria?"

Valeria nodded in agreement. "Absolutely. Dimensional magic is one of the lost arts. The fact that Ellora can wield it shows she has deep knowledge and skill in ancient magic. I want to meet her immediately."

Cassandra, recalling her notes, added, "I never imagined someone could manipulate dimensions like that. And the way she summoned stars from another realm to attack her opponents... it's something truly impressive."

Gilbert sighed, feeling the weight of the magic displayed. "So, this is what they mean by true power. Ellora's opponents didn't stand a chance against such a devastating force."

Lily, filled with pride and admiration, spoke softly, "I'm so proud of my sister. She's shown just how powerful and capable she is."

Arianne, gazing at Lily with affection, added, "Ellora truly showed the best of her abilities today. But we also need to think about how power like that could affect future battles."

On the screen, Ellora gracefully countered her opponents' final attack, leaving everyone in the observation room in awe of the incredible dimensional magic. They watched as Madalyn, Chris, Cestine, and Charlotte fell one by one, their faces reflecting defeat and despair.

Astrid, still awestruck by what she had just witnessed, remarked, "This will be a valuable lesson for all of us. Power like this should never be underestimated."

"Ellora has shown immense potential. This will go down as one of the most historic moments in the Regalizen Commander selection," Nero added.

Lily and Arianne exchanged proud, admiring glances, clearly moved by Ellora's victory.

As the battle concluded and the arena fell silent, the spectators in the observation room remained captivated by what they had just witnessed. Ellora, with her rare and formidable dimensional magic, had left a lasting impression on everyone, proving that she was not only powerful but also highly skilled in the ancient arts of magic.

"Alright, let's welcome Ellora and celebrate her victory in this selection match," Valeria said as she addressed the room.

The Regalizen Commanders, along with Lily and Arianne, responded to Valeria's words with respectful nods before they all left the observation room together.

(Ellora Viewpoint)

As I stood in the now-silent arena, only the sound of the wind could be heard. The battle had taken its toll, leaving me exhausted but triumphant. The stars and the expanse of space created by my dimensional magic slowly faded, revealing the clear sky once more.

"Splitting the sky like that was exhausting. I had to focus so hard just to keep it open for a few minutes," I muttered to myself, trying to steady my breathing.

Suddenly, I sensed a powerful aura approaching. It was Ausbay, the overseer of this selection test. With an elegant and upright posture, he walked toward me, a smile forming on his face.

"Ellora Evernoir," his voice echoed in the quiet arena,

"I am proud to announce that you are the winner of this battle. You've managed to defeat the descendants of hero families all by yourself—a truly remarkable achievement."

I bowed my head slightly in respect, feeling a mix of relief and satisfaction. "Thank you, Overseer Ausbay."

He nodded and continued, "I will ensure the unconscious participants receive treatment. They aren't seriously injured, thanks to the fact that you all fought within my domain—especially Gareth; he'll return to normal soon enough."

So, that's the power of the Lorelei family's illusion magic.

As Ausbay directed the healers and clinic staff towards my fallen opponents, I felt the attention of everyone shift to me. From the side of the arena, I noticed several unfamiliar faces, but among them were a few I recognized. They all began approaching me with enthusiasm, causing my heart to race with a mix of anxiety and excitement.

A graceful woman, dressed in royal attire, approached with a gentle smile on her face. "Greetings, my name is Valeria Aurelius. I'm the princess of this kingdom. Ellora, you've done an excellent job. Your performance was truly impressive."

I nodded and quickly bowed, realizing this was the princess of Aurelius. "Thank you, Princess Valeria. I'm glad I could showcase my abilities."

Another woman, with red hair and a look of admiration, patted my shoulder. "I've never seen dimensional magic in person before. You were incredible! By the way, I'm Cassandra, Charlotte's aunt from the Vermillion Rosenfelt family."

And then Astrid, usually calm and analytical, flashed a rare smile. "Looks like I made the right choice to approach you in the garden the other day, El."

Nero remained silent, but the proud smile on his face spoke volumes.

Finally, a large man with boundless energy extended his hand for a handshake. "That was amazing! I'm truly impressed by what you've shown us. I'm Gilbert Rhanes, Commander 4 of Regalizen."

I accepted Gilbert's handshake with a smile, his enthusiasm slightly lifting my fatigue. "Thank you, Commander Gilbert."

And at last, my adorable little sister Lily, who was standing beside Arianne, looked absolutely thrilled. She ran towards me with a beaming smile.

"Sister Ellora, you were incredible! I'm so proud of you!"

I gently embraced Lily, warmed by her support and affection. "I'm proud of you too, Lily. Thank you for always being there for me."

Arianne, as usual, gave me a gentle smile. "Your sister is truly remarkable. I'm glad to see you getting the recognition you deserve."

"I couldn't have done it without all of your support," I replied, returning her smile.

While the audience continued to watch from the arena's edge, the atmosphere became more relaxed and lively. I could feel the warmth of the welcome and support from everyone around me, making the exhaustion and tension from the battle feel lighter. It was a strange mix of victory and fatigue.

"Well then, let's head to the Regalizen headquarters to discuss more about you, Ellora," Princess Valeria said, guiding us out of the test chamber.

"I'll go check on my family first," Cassandra said, likely going to see how Charlotte was doing after losing the selection test.

One by one, the Regalizen commanders, who had been conversing among themselves, began to disperse, signaling that our meeting here was over.

"See you next time, Ellora, Lily, and Arianne," Astrid said with a wink before heading off.

"Thank you, Miss Astrid," we all replied.

Afterward, Lily, Arianne, and I, with Nero somehow tagging along, made our way to the Regalizen headquarters, led by Valeria.

When we arrived at the Regalizen headquarters, the five of us sat across from each other at the Regalizen conference table.

"Alright, Ellora, since you've won the selection test, you are now eligible to proceed to the next stage, which is attending the Lupusrica Academy for one semester. There, you'll learn everything related to your duties and responsibilities as the commander of Regalizen's 9th Battalion," Princess Valeria announced.

Lily, Arianne, Nero, and I listened intently to every word she said.

"At the Academy, you won't be required to participate in any training sessions. Your purpose at Lupusrica Academy is purely to learn about the kingdom, so you're exempt from the mandatory training sessions. However, personal training is entirely up to you."

"Your position as the Commander of Regalizen's 9th Battalion will be officially inaugurated once you've completed your studies at Lupusrica Academy for one semester," Valeria continued.

"So, for an entire semester, I'll be attending special sessions tailored for Regalizen commanders?" I asked.

"Indeed. The majority of your curriculum will focus on essential knowledge for Regalizen commanders, with the rest being general education offered at the academy."

"Understood," I nodded.

"Good. Starting tomorrow, you'll officially be a special student at Lupusrica Academy, and your studies will commence immediately. The registration and administrative processes have already been taken care of by the appropriate authorities, so you won't need to handle any of it on your own. Your academy uniform will be delivered to your home this evening," she explained.

"Thank you, Your Highness."

"Well then, we'll conclude this meeting here. Best of luck with your studies, Ellora. I'm eagerly looking forward to the day you officially take on your role as the Commander of Regalizen's 9th Battalion."

"And welcome to the military of the Kingdom of Aurelius!"

Princess Valeria's presence was commanding and authoritative—she truly embodied the essence of a leader. Every word she spoke, every gesture she made, reflected the leadership of the kingdom.

We all bowed respectfully in response to Valeria's words, then exited the room.

"Princess Valeria is so beautiful, isn't she, Sis?" Lily said excitedly as we left the room.

"Of course, she is. She's a princess, after all," Nero replied.

"Congratulations again on passing the selection test, Miss Ellora," Arianne added, her graceful and gentle demeanor never wavering.

As we walked back home, we chatted about the capital of Aurelius and life at Lupusrica Academy, with Nero sharing his insights.

When we finally arrived home after a long and exhausting day at the selection arena, the cool evening air felt soothing, calming the adrenaline still coursing through our veins from the earlier battle. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by the familiar warmth that always made me feel at ease. Lily quickly followed, and Arianne, ever attentive, immediately took my cloak.

"Sis Ellora, you were amazing earlier!" Lily exclaimed, her face lighting up with a wide smile. Her usually calm eyes now sparkled with enthusiasm.

"I never imagined you could use dimensional magic. It was incredible!"

This child—she really is my little angel.

I smiled softly at her praise. "Thank you, Lily. But I was just doing what needed to be done."

Arianne nodded in agreement. "Even so, dimensional magic is something unheard of before. I was shocked to see it used right in front of my eyes."

Nero, who had been quiet until now, finally spoke up. "Ellora, you might not realize it, but you've placed yourself above the rest of the competition. No one will underestimate you after this."

We continued our conversation in the living room, where Arianne served tea to everyone. The fragrant aroma filled the room, creating a cozy atmosphere that helped us all relax a little more. Our conversation drifted across various topics, but mostly centered around the battle earlier.

"Madalyn's light magic was strong, but I never expected her to team up with Chris and the others," Lily remarked, staring into her teacup. "But in the end, they couldn't overcome your magic, Sis."

"Exactly," Nero added.

"You're right," I replied.

"The wizards from the hero families rely heavily on their unique magic, which leaves a huge gap in their battle tactics because every detail of their magic is already known to the public. Even Nero knew about the spells they used."

"But their combined magic was still dangerous, especially with Charlotte and her mirror duplication. Even so, you managed to handle them all."

I listened quietly, not dwelling too much on their words. The battle was over, and now my thoughts were focused on what lay ahead.

That evening, a courier arrived at our house, delivering a large package. Arianne was the first to notice.

"Ellora, it looks like your package from Lupusrica Academy has arrived."

I quickly went to the door, received the package, and opened it in the living room. Inside was the new uniform I'd be wearing at the academy tomorrow. The uniform looked elegant, with a sleek and practical design in black and silver that really stood out.

"You're going to look so cool in this, Sis Ellora!" Lily exclaimed, full of admiration.

"Yes, this uniform suits you perfectly," Arianne added with her gentle smile.

"You'll look both graceful and authoritative."

I took the uniform to my room and tried it on. The fabric felt comfortable against my skin, and it fit my body just right. When I returned to the living room wearing it, I could see the amazement on Lily and Arianne's faces.

"You really look like a Lupusrica Academy student now," Nero said proudly.

"The academy will be the place where you shine even brighter."

I looked at my reflection in the large mirror in the living room. This uniform wasn't just clothing; it was a symbol of the responsibilities and new challenges I would soon face. I knew this journey was just the beginning, and I had to be ready for whatever lay ahead.

As I thought back to my school days, it hit me—I was about to become a student at the prestigious Lupusrica Academy. I wondered how the kids at Lilac were doing. I hope they're okay.

After dinner, we gathered in the family room, talking about tomorrow and the plans ahead. Lily and Arianne were buzzing with excitement, sharing their ideas about what I'd do at the academy.

As the night wore on, a sense of calm settled over me. Though there were still many uncertainties, I knew that with the support of those I loved, I could face anything that came my way. Today was just the first step, and I was ready to take it further.

I could never forget all that I've fought for—everything is for finding the missing Arche and ensuring Lily's well-being.
