Capítulo 13: Chapter 13
Raven carried on cooking and her food was served to Damien and Roman she assumed when she was done she went to her room.
She changed into her pajamas and she replayed tonight in her mind, this was the first time she had seen Damien after some time and he looked better than ever.
She on the other hand wasn't sure what she looked like? Probably bad but oddly enough her ex always said she looked best when she felt at her worst.
He said she looked like a flower blooming and that had hurt her that he found an upside in her misery.
Raven woke up when she heard her phone ringing, she looked at her phone and it was a bit too bright, she saw a number she didn't recognize.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Sorry did I wake you? It's me, Roman."
"Yeah," she checked her phone and it was eleven in the night.
"I said I would text you but I thought that calling you would be better, sorry to wake you. I had just got home and settled in."
"It's okay Roman." Raven did not know what more to say.
"I wanted to hear your voice." He responded.
Raven chuckled, he really seemed sweet for the type of man he was, "uh, well..."
"Can you tell me a story?" Roman asked.
"A story? About what?"
"Anything Raven."
"Okay, I guess I will tell you about Esther."
"Who is that?" Roman asked intrigued.
"My favorite story."
"Okay, I would love to hear it."
Raven went on to tell him the story and occasionally he would chip in asking here and there as to why no one did anything.
After some time of talking, Raven realized that Roman was no longer answering her.
"Roman, Roman are you there?" All Raven was met by was deep-breathing. She knew that he had fallen asleep and she hung up.
It was close to one in the morning and she was surprised at how much time went by. She put her phone aside and went to sleep.
She woke up the next morning feeling a bit exhausted, she dressed up in her uniform and dashed downstairs.
She began making breakfast and during lunch, she got a message from Roman.
"Are you free Saturday night?"
"Yes, I am."
"Can I take you to dinner?"
Raven hadn't gone out in a while and it would be nice to hang out with someone else since she felt isolated here.
She was surprised as to how the other girls would be around Damien as if nothing happened, but she knew she couldn't pretend.
"Sure sounds great," she replied.
"Will see you at seven on Saturday," Roman replied.
"Great."
Raven went back to work, she was a lot more excited for Saturday as she now had something to do.
It had been a while since she had gone out and this would do her good.
