After being welcomed into Alex's home by her mother, a warmth enveloped me. She was more than just a mom; she was like a second mother, and the thought of losing her was unbearable.

As she prepared to leave the room, I couldn't let her go without expressing my feelings. Gently, I reached out and held her hand, causing her to turn and look at me with a mix of concern and love.

"Mom," I uttered, and she gracefully took a seat beside me, her hand tenderly stroking my hair.

"Are you alright?" She inquired, her caring eyes fixed on mine. I responded with a soft smile, cherishing this moment, hoping for more days like this, free from pain and filled with love.

After a brief silence, I mustered the courage to voice my innermost question.

"Mom, would you still accept me if I were to have my child?" I asked, uncertainty in my voice. Her response was heartwarming as she leaned down to place a tender kiss on my forehead.
