Capítulo 55: Oh! He Didn't Come

"Dad, you are crying."

The statement took Valac by shock as he froze.

Am I crying?

Valac balanced Lav in one hand while his hand touched his cheek, feeling the moisture on them.

Damn.

"No… it's nothing like that. I didn't mean to cry. Let's not waste time anymore. Xenith and Nico, you both gather both the teams. Captain Cedric you go to Duchy. Come back as soon as you can."

The people nodded at Valac's orders but Zenith couldn't help but raise a certain concern that bugged his mind.

"Will Lady Lavie stay here alone? It's not safe."

"Don't worry about her. I have a safe place in mind for her. Go do your assigned work. I'll not tolerate any negligence. Also, Captain Cedric… give me your sword. I kind of lost mine."

Valac extended his hand to Captain Cedric, flashing a sly grin. 

"Come on, Captain, I need that sword. Can't very well fend off stone golems with my charming smile, now can I?"
