Dimitri POV

It felt all new as he lowered her to the soft mattress. His masterful hands slid the straps of her negligee down her shoulders, then slid the negligee off of her body so she lay naked before him, spread out with her legs slightly apart.

"You are so beautiful." His voice was hoarse, and his eyes volcano-hot with lust as he conducted a long, slow survey of her body. "You looked so perfect in your wedding gown. You deserved a full royal wedding in the palace chapel. You'll get one, I promise. And don't say no. It's part of healing our kingdoms."

"I wasn't going to say no."

Those simple words shook him to the core, and his breathing became shallow.

"You're with me on this, aren't you?"

She gave him a look of determination. "We're in this together, you and I. Our kingdoms need peace. We both know that."

Elder Gods, she smelled and looked so sweet. Sweeter now that he knew they shared one goal. Why hadn't he told her before?
