Capítulo 15: Chp 15:Catching feelings
Lucas POV:
'She just tried to compell me to kill myself! What the hell's wrong with this woman?'
With the sudden comand, Evan came forward yanking Layla on the shoulder, pulling her back slightly. Heading towards my direction he wrapped his arms around me in a defensive hug position. Making my cheeks warm up to a pink shade.
"Wh-what are you doing?" I stuttered in confusion and embarrassment.
Ignoreing my question, evan spoke in an aggressive tone " What do you think you're trying to pull? I told you It doesn't work!"
"Yeah, it doesn't work. What are you getting so worked up about? Or have you actually caught feelings for this human?" She argued in a disgusted way, dragging the last question.
"Even if it doesn't work, you shouldn't demand something like that just in case!" Evan yelled this time. He was furious. His grip around me tightened at every word.
The thought of Evan getting angry for me. Caring for me. Loving me. At this point I stopped paying attention to their argument and just focused on Evan. The thoughts of Evan and me spun in my head, causing my face to heat up.
"Okay. I'm sorry." She rolled her eyes.
"But do you want my help or not?"
"I do.... But Nothing dangerous! You may not care for him, but I do!"
The last sentence caught my attention. Evan truly cares for me. He's arguing with another vampire over me. Protecting me. No ones ever really cared for me like that. I didn't need it, I never needed protection. I never wanted it. But if it's Evan than I do want it. I need it, in fact.
I clutched onto Evans clothing, bringing him closer. His heart beat was reassuring and calming. It may of been beating fast but it still soothed me.
"Alright. I'll take my leave for now. Not like this is an urgent issue. If anything, isn't it a good thing? Anyway I'll come back when you've cooled off."
She left and it fell silent. Evan continued to hold me in his arms and I let him.
It wasn't until his stomach growled did he release me. Flustered that he had held me for so long he turned a shade of pink and walked off to the fridge.
I stood there already missing his warmth.
"What! When did I run out of blood?"
"Oh yea, sorry I used it all up yesterday for the pancakes."
He groaned in disappointment. "Alright I'll be back in a bit. Gotta get more blood. I'm starved."
I felt bad that I didn't alert him sooner. I mean he just protected me from Layla and he must be exhausted from all that arguing.
"Uuhhh.." I started, gaining the attention from Evan.
"What is it Lucas? Something wrong? Does your neck hurt? Do your hips still hurt?" He interrogated.
"Uuh... well yes my hips still hurt but that isn't it."
He waited patiently for me to continue. Not once interrupting me.
"If ...If you wanted....I umm...I could offer you my blood."
