Norah lifted her hands up in surrender and signals others to back up.
"Mila? Is it? I think we got off on the wrong foot.
I'm obviously wrong for creating a scene and making you scared.
I'll step back and others will fall suit.
This is the safest place for you.
Norah stand down there is no need to hold Kimberly back.
Kimberly? You know it's not your friend right?
Don't act impulsively and get hurt."
Said Miss Silas Silver backing up as well to give me space.
That's more like it, I'll lower my sheild but I'll power up just incase.
"Ladies of the high court.
This is Mila, and yes just Mila.
Her mate hasn't married her taking advantage that Mila doesn't know Vampire laws.
For 10 years, but who is counting right?
But I'll put pressure on her mate to marry right away.
Refusal to do so, I'll involve the elders."
Said Miss Silas Silver and that didn't sit well with me.
Edith wanted to marry me but drama after drama unfold,
It's not like we were stalling.
It's not like I was awake for those 10 years for Miss Silas to talk like that.
I'm starting to think she has a personal hatred for Edith.
"Mila, come greet the ladies and share a few words."
Said Miss Silas Silver and I knew everything has gone to shit.
I won't stand here and watch her ram Edith's name in the mud.
I walked up to the microphone and looked around before speaking.
"Thank you for having me, despite what ended up happening.
Please refrain from talking about Edith in a rude manner in my presence.
I promise all of you that there won't be peace if you do.
I don't care that I'm the weakest person in the room.
I don't care that I'm not royal.
No one here has my permission to insult my mate.
You may be stronger but I'll see to it that I won't die alone trust me.
This is not a threat but a promise.
Take it how you like!?!!!"
I said fully transformed into my Vampire form.
I really tried to be nice and I really did but no one here is above my mate.
There were gasps followed by claps and I don't know why that made me more angry.
Their smiles were not kind but were mockery and the clap was obviously sarcasm.
"For insulting me in my own castle Mila,
You will spend a weak here to learn just who you are talking to."
Said Miss Silas Silver in a cold dangerous tone,
Her eyes dared me to add anything else so she could put me in my place.
It's like she's punishing me for Defending Edith.
Don't tell me she is serious about separating us for a week.
"Wait, Mila is Human born, she comes for a society that has freedom of speech.
Silas please don't do this, it will drive a wage between all of us.
Mila, this is not a prison but please learn to shut up.
An utterance like that will get you killed.
Do you think Edith will like to receive your chopped of head?
Think about your behaviour and apologies before the punishment extends to your mate."
Said Norah boiling my blood and I couldn't do it.
I won't kiss their feet just to have connections.
"Just try it Noah!
I'll be holding your head and the head of anyone who interfere.
You think I'm scared of you?"
I said taking a fighting stance, glaring at her.
Who the hell do these people think they are?
I didn't come here to grovel or lick their asses.
In fact they can kiss my ass if this is how they make friends.
Norah walked forward with an angry expression but was held back by two ladies.
"Norah calm down. Let her fall into her own trap.
Come back to your senses you making another scene."
Said Kimberly looking at me with so much kindness before smiling with her eyes.
"Let her go Katherine! Let her do what she said she will do."
I said and Kimberly let go of Norah, who came flying towards me.
I stood still and moved away last minute and she smashed herself against the wall.
"Bringing Mila here was obviously a bad idea,
I'll drive her back myself."
Said Miss Silas Silver and I wish that her head would explode along with Norah's.
'Ask and you shall receive' said the creator of worlds.
Miss Silas Silver was clutching her head with her hands and began to sweat.
Norah was on her knees holding her head.
"W-what did she do? My head is paining like it's going to explode!?!!"
Screamed Norah looking at Miss Silas Silver who seemed like she was feeling the same,
But was taking it better than her.
"Mila is this your doing? It won't end well for you if you don't stop right now!?!!!"
Said Miss Silas Silver in an irritated tone.
"I wish it was me, trust me I wish I had that ability,
But it's not me."
I said as Miss Silas Silver fell to her knees.
"Queen Lora please calm down. Silas and Norah have forgotten who you are.
We certainly haven't.
I would like to apologize on my own behalf.
I don't want to be next."
Said the lady with long purple dyed hair.
"F-fine, I was out of line saying you'll be here a week!
It was an empty threat.
If you stop now, I promise no harm will come to Edith!?!?!!"
Screamed Silas looking like she was overwhelmed by the pain.
My hands tingled and my feet led me to Miss Silas Silver.
I touched her forehead and I was blinded by a bright light.
It was suddenly gone and I staggered out of energy.
"I see that's it wasn't you.
Healing me took a toll on you.
Reversing a spell you cast doesn't drain the person who cast it,
but the person who didn't cast it suffers if they lift it.
Norah, Mila can't heal you, she didn't cast it."
Said Miss Silas Silver and I walked to Norah and touched her forehead.
She is a bitch but she doesn't deserve to die.
"Mila! Stop it! Your body won't be able to-"
Was all I heard before my head started paining.
My eyes watered and the dark tears were thick and instantly blinded me.
Something was leaking from my ears as I fell backwards.
"Bridgette do something! Don't let her die.
She's your cousin's mate!"
Screamed Norah in panic.
"Ha ha ha ha ha, Just wait until I tell the elders that you'll killed Edith's mate.
Your heads will be decorating our hall on spikes.
Jewels Family won't except that my cousin's mate arrived healthy,
And is now in the brink of death in your Castle.
Whose to say this wasn't planned?"
Said Bridgette and I felt arms around me and the magic of passing through a magic portal.
"Great grand father, the noble families did this.
I couldn't see this happening before it happened.
I think they put drugs in the blood they gave me.
Please cure Mila."
Said Bridgette in a tone that promised nothing but Revenge.
I went in and out of consciousness, thinking that maybe they would see that we are not monsters.
Maybe Edith will be forgiven.
I woke up fresh and full of life but I was nervous.
I was afraid that maybe I was out for another 5 years.
"Mila! Thank the gods! Looks like the worse is behind us.
Next time let those idiots drop dead.
Don't try to be a hero saving bigots.
They are only going to be a thorn on our side."
Said Bridgette in obvious fury.
"How long have I been out?"
I asked as tears gathered in my eyes.
"20 years."
Said the handsome man looking smug.
"Great grandfather!?!!!!"
Shouted Bridgette in annoyance looking at him in disbelief.
"Ever since you were born, you have been raining on my parade.
You go that boring seriousness from your mother's side of the family.
Even as a baby you never laughed and had a focused face!"
Exclaimed the handsome man with platinum blonde hair.
"It's been 5 hours, Mila.
Grandfather likes to traumatize people for fun.
He never learns."
Said Bridgette glaring at the handsome man who looked more like her brother.
"You ungreatful brat, I fixed your friend good as new and you complaining?
That's it! You not invited to my birthday,
you'll ruin the mood with your sour personality."
Said the handsome man pouting and Bridgette rolled her eyes.
"Thanks grandpa, I'll call Edith to get here.
There are things I need to discuss with her regarding security on your birthday."
Said Bridgette to which the handsome man instantly frowned.
"You mean like last year?
You and her missed out on everything, playing body guards!
You'll were looking for an excuse to not be present.
At least your grandmother loves me."
Said the handsome man fake crying.
"Alright, We will hire people instead but it was for your protection.
Ever since you snatched Silas' grandfather's drink from his hand and drank it,
We have been wary, knowing how hateful he is."
Said Bridgette looking at her grandfather like he was a naughty child.
"It's not my fault obviously, he was the one who bragged that is was fairy blood but refused to give me a sip.
Ha ha ha ha ha, he lied! It was a Vampire's blood that sly old Bustard!"
Laughed the handsome looking Alot younger.
Bridgette went out holding a phone leaving me the her grandfather.
"Thank you , Sir."
I said and he rolled his eyes and corrected me.
"It's great grandfather. Are you hard of hearing?
Anyway it's fine.
Edith always brings me the best gifts so I couldn't just step aside and watch her mate die.
However, they can't punish Edith after you saving them.
Unless they are asking for open war.
Yes, my twin brothers love a good bloody war.
They have been waiting for 300 years for something interesting to happen."
Said great grandfather smiling dreamily like he was envisioning the beach.
What a scary man! I wouldn't want to be on his bad side.
