Vampire Amnesia
Chapter 19
"For the time being, stay here first. Believe me, everything that Grandpa does is only for your good," Hogan said while shaking Bilbina's hand which was still in his grasp.
For some reason Bilbina felt that, even if indirectly, her grandfather was trying to tell a big truth that he had been keeping to himself. She didn't know what it was.
Maybe she should do whatever her grandfather says for now. Although, Bilbina wasn't sure if she could hide the strange rush she felt for Axell?
"All right, Grandpa. For the time being, Bin will stay here and listen to what Grandpa has to say. But, Grandpa should also know, Grandpa is not alone and Bin is strong enough to protect Grandpa."
With emotion, Hogan took Bilbina's body into his arms. Now he realized, his little girl said that not only did she want to cheer up because they were family, but that his granddaughter did have a strong heart.
"Grandpa believes, Bin. You are Grandfather's protector."
On the terrace, Axell heard the conversation of the two clearly. His chest feels full. Now he was sure, he really loved Bilbina as a woman. However, he is a vampire.
Maybe Axell won't be able to be with Bilbina. But, he will protect the girl. For hundreds of years Axell walked the earth in emptiness, only now did he feel the meaning of his existence.
Axell could see the difference now. With his parents he is bonded as a family. With Hogan, he felt the same way. However, Bilbina, the girl he just met is his life.
That girl was a soul he had never had in these hundreds of years. He will do anything for Bilbina. Axell has walked this earth in silence for too long. If he had to, he would give his life for Bilbina.
Axel was silent for a moment. It feels so clear now. He didn't want to disturb Bilbina and Hogan. While leaning on the porch pillar, Axell's gaze drifted towards the street in front of his house. The road, which is overgrown with pine trees on the right and left, always looks deserted.
Suddenly the alarm in Axell's mind went off. His instincts sharpened. Spontaneously he straightened his body warily.
Axell squinted when he saw a flash of red flashing through the green of the trees. The sun's light slightly obscured the shadow. However, Axell could clearly see the figure looking straight at him, or maybe at his house.
