Capítulo 15: Hiatus

Hello everybody!

I know it has been a bit since my last upload, and I am sorry to say that it will be a little while more. I released the three chapters I had saved up, and before I continue writing I am going to be working on fixing the story/worldbuilding. I might even decide to rewrite the story completely, as I am realizing just how unfamiliar I am with writing in the first person. It was a mistake on my part, but I wanted to try it out.

As for what I will be doing on my hiatus, I will be working on fleshing out the world even more, so I'm not just leaving this novel in the dust. The main reason I am going to be focusing more on worldbuilding rather than the story right now is because the document that I am using to write down said worldbuilding is going to be my creative sample for my college applications. The document is like 20 pages long right now, and I have only just finished the outline of the history and the more basic details.

The next step for me is writing about the empires and governments in the world, and that will necessitate research into many different things. The first empire I am writing about is one based on a mix of Egypt and Persia, and I am researching the history of existing empires in those areas in the Middle Ages as well as economics, politics, and more.

I won't talk much more about it, but if anyone is interested in the worldbuilding and doesn't mind having things revealed to them that might spoil bits of the later story, let me know and I can share the document with you guys.

Thank you so much everyone for your support, and I just have to say that I am so grateful for everything. If anyone is feeling upset about the (temporary) discontinuation of this novel, think of it as a teaser for a much bigger project. Wish me luck on my college applications!
