At noon, Alex and Kate went to The Golden Plate Hotel for lunch. Since all the private rooms on the second floor were full, they had to sit in the crowded first-floor hall. Kate glanced around the noisy hall, frowned, and said, "There are so many people here. I had hoped to spend some quiet time alone with you over lunch, but it seems impossible."
Alex smiled and said, "If you don't like it here, Kate, we can go somewhere else."
"Forget it. This place is close to school, and driving somewhere else would be a hassle," Kate replied, wrinkling her delicate nose in resignation.
Alex slapped his forehead and said, "I almost forgot. Kate, it seems the diva Rose is coming to H City for a concert this Sunday."
"Really! Alex, you must take me to see her. Rose is my idol," Kate exclaimed excitedly, clasping her hands over her chest with a look of enchantment.
"Look how happy you are. You seem more excited about seeing her than you are about seeing your husband," Alex teased, pretending to be upset.
"Honey, you'll always be the most important. How could she compare to my husband?" Kate coaxed, laughing softly.
Alex gently pinched Kate's nose and said, "That's my good Kate."
Soon, the waiter brought their food, and Alex and Kate started eating. Halfway through the meal, Alex's phone rang. He picked it up, listened briefly, and exclaimed, "What! Ben has been attacked! I'm heading over immediately."
"Kate, Ben has been injured and is in the hospital. I need to go see him," Alex said, standing up. "I'll go with you," Kate responded, also standing up. "Alright," Alex replied, paying the bill before they both left the The Golden Plate Hotel.
On the way to the hospital, Alex pushed his driving skills to the limit, drifting, making sharp turns, and running red lights. The traffic police were stunned, watching the speeding car disappear in a cloud of dust. Kate, sitting beside him, was terrified and broke out in a cold sweat. Ten minutes later, Alex and Kate arrived at the city hospital.
In the hospital room, they found Ben lying on the bed, his face bruised and swollen, with one leg in a cast.
"Boss, your car is really fast! You made it in ten minutes," Ben said, forcing a smile despite his pain.
"Ben, who did this to you?" Alex asked, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Who else but Sam! Ben and I were having lunch in the school cafeteria when we ran into Sam. In front of many students, Sam insulted us, calling us your dogs. Ben talked back, and then Sam and his gang beat him up," Jack said angrily.
"That Sam is causing trouble again. It looks like I need to teach him a lesson," Alex said darkly.
Ten minutes into the first class of the afternoon, Sam was smugly listening to the teacher, feeling triumphant. He thought to himself: Today, I finally got my revenge. Let's see what Alex can do now that I've beaten his dogs.
Suddenly, the classroom door opened, and Alex and Kate walked in. Alex glared at Sam and said to Kate, "Kate, go back to your seat."
Alex then walked toward Sam. The once proud Sam now pressed himself tightly against the wall, fearfully saying, "Alex, don't do anything rash. My father is the mayor. If you lay a finger on me, he won't let you off."
"I don't care who your father is. All I know is that your legs are about to be broken," Alex replied, grabbing Sam by the collar and yanking him out of his seat. With a swift motion, Sam's frail body flew towards the back wall of the classroom. With a loud crash, Sam hit the wall heavily. The students were stunned by what they had just witnessed. The teacher on the podium was the first to react, trembling as he said, "Alex, stop! You'll seriously hurt someone."
Alex completely disregarded the teacher's words, looking contemptuously at the groaning Sam lying on the ground. With a cold smile, he said, "You broke Ben's leg; I'll make sure to repay you double." After saying this, Alex raised his left leg and kicked both of Sam's legs, the sound of bones cracking and Sam's screams echoing simultaneously. Under the horrified gazes of the teacher and classmates, Alex turned and walked out of the classroom.
Feeling frustrated, Alex drove away from the school, intending to buy some supplements for Ben at a private hospital. When he reached a secluded road, he noticed a traffic jam ahead. Alex sensed something was wrong and thought, "This road is usually very quiet, with few cars passing by. Why is it congested today? Something must have happened." With growing suspicion, Alex slowly drove closer and saw that four black Audi cars had blocked a red BMW in the middle, surrounded by more than twenty men in black suits, encircling a stylishly dressed girl wearing sunglasses.
"Move aside, or I'll call the police!" The girl's pleasant voice rang out, though it couldn't hide her inner panic.
"Miss Rose, our young master has been chasing you from X City to H City just to get close to you. Please don't make things difficult for us." The man standing in front of the girl sneered.
"Police!" the girl shouted, then ran towards Alex's car.
The men, thinking there were actual police, hesitated and looked around, but saw no sign of them. In those few seconds, the girl had already broken through the "encirclement" and reached Alex's car.
Realizing they'd been tricked, the twenty men chased after the girl, surrounding Alex's car. The girl banged on the window, pleading anxiously, "Help me, they're trying to kidnap me."
Alex, sitting in the car, looked helpless. He opened the door and got out, teasing the girl, "You're lucky to have met a hero. If it had been a coward, you would have been doomed."
The girl quickly hid behind Alex, whispering in his ear, "They really want to kidnap me. Stall them while I call the police."
"No need to call the police. When the police arrive, these people will be on the ground," Alex replied with a smile.
"Boy, your car looks impressive, but our young master is not someone you can mess with. Don't end up getting hurt yourself; it wouldn't be worth it," the man who had spoken to the girl said to Alex.
"I often dream of playing the hero, and today I finally have the chance to make that dream come true. How could I miss it? Come on, let's save time and all come at once," Alex said with a cold smile. The man almost fainted upon hearing Alex's words, pointing at him and saying, "Don't blame me for giving you a chance." He then signaled to the others, and more than twenty men charged at Alex.
Alex leaped into the crowd, grabbing an incoming fist and squeezing it until it deformed like a cake. He swiftly moved to another thug, his iron-like elbow striking the man's chest, sending him flying with a mouthful of blood. Before the blood hit the ground, Alex was already in front of the next attacker. His lightning-fast, elusive movements weaved through the group, with screams continuously ringing out. In less than a minute, the twenty men were lying on the ground in various poses, while Alex stood proudly in the middle of the road, hands in his pockets.
Turning back to the girl, Alex smirked and said, "Being a hero isn't much after all. I have other matters to attend to, so I won't stay." With that, he got into his car, turned around, and drove off in the direction he had come from.
The girl watched the Lamborghini speed away, stamping her foot in frustration and shouting, "Are you afraid I'll eat you? Why are you running so fast?"
In the Grila Hotel Presidential Suite in H City, a girl stood barefoot in the center of the bedroom, wearing a seductive slip dress. Her long, slender legs, proud chest, and flawless curves were all intoxicating. Looking at herself in the mirror, she murmured, "I'm so charming; why wasn't he moved when he saw me?" Sighing, she lay down on the bed, closing her eyes as the image of a handsome, agile figure appeared in her mind.
