Chapter 4 — Troubles.
Sidonia | Jason's Daily Log | Day 2.
SDF Dormitory | 8:00 AM.
The sky above Sidonia was clear blue and the sun hang above silently. Jason was utterly speechless. The weather was artificial, including the sky and sun. Even the moon when it turned night was the same.
Jason was currently in front of a very large dormitory.
"Oh my....! A brown bear wearing an apron and also holding a spatula...??" Jason was dazed while looking at the person that greeted him.
It was a huge bear—a brown bear that was even larger than the 6 feet tall Jason. He was dumbfounded and thought that maybe the animals inside Sidonia were already as intelligent as humans after going through many evolutions and genetic modification.
The brown bear lightly laughed at Jason's reaction, and slowly patted his broad shoulder.
"Don't be too surprised. This is just a life-support suit to sustain myself. I'm the dorm mother of the SDF Academy."
"Ohh, I see... I'm Jason and excuse me for my rudeness."
"It's fine, I'm used to it. Follow me, I'll guide you toward your dorm room."
Jason nodded quickly and followed the Mother Bear inside the dormitory. He was kicked out of the hospital after completely recovering his health. He was then told afterwards to join the SDF Academy where he could learn more about Sidonia and even learn about piloting a Garde or Guardian.
"We have arrived, this is Jason's room."
After climbing many stairs, the two of them finally arrived at their destination. His own room. The Mother Bear handed Jason his key for the room and also some new clothes.
Jason received all of it and bowed slightly.
"Thank you, I can take care of rest."
"If you feel hungry, feel free to visit the cafeteria downstairs. I'm confident about my cooking skills. Especially, when it comes to my ramen."
"I'll visit sometime in the future. I looked forward in tasting it."
"I'll wait for you then."
The Mother Bear soon left.
Jason was now all alone to inspect the inside of his room.
Jason entered inside and saw it was simple, neat, and very clean. The dorm mother must have cleaned beforehand after hearing he was coming. He was thankful. He loved the environment being clean.
The inside of his room was simple and still lacked decorations. There were only a comfy bed, an empty bookshelf, and an empty closet inside. There was also a small TV nearby, placed above a table.
Jason was curious about the present entertainment they had, but decided to check it out later. He was more interested in exploring and learning more about the SDF Academy.
He started looking around the room, trying to see of there was anyone secretly spying on him. Fortunately, he didn't found anything like that much to his own relief.
Jason removed of his clothes and slowly marvelled at his physique after being changed by Mr. Alien.
It was muscular yet lean and toned. His muscles were defined and was chiselled perfectly. It looked streamlined and pleasant.
He soon stopped paying attention toward it and changed into a new set of clothings. It was a white military uniform belonging to the cadets of SDF.
...
SDF Academy | Main Building | 9:00 AM.
Jason was exploring around the SDF Academy which was expansive. As he was walking around, he spotted an imposing gigantic robot on display for anyone to see. It looked heroic and powerful.
He then saw something written on a stone tablet and started reading it.
"17th Type Guardian. A Variant Of White Moon... Tsugomori...?"
Jason didn't know the history behind this robot called Tsugomori, but it seemed very deep. Oh, right. It seemed the robots were referred as Garde or Guardian here.
"Oy, you there! Why aren't you wearing your own safety belt!?" A woman suddenly yelled at him. She quickly stormed at him with powerful strides.
Jason looked at her confusedly, wondering what she meant by a safety belt.
"Don't you know how dangerous is it to wander around without a safety belt!? Lots have already died because they are fools like you!"
The woman harrumphed while hugging her arms together, pressing her ample chest upward erotically.
Jason was feeling wronged. In the first place, he didn't know anything what she was talking about.
"I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about a safety belt."
The woman started sizing him up and down before realising something.
"Now that I think about it, you look unfamiliar to me. And no person would not know about safety belt unless they were living underground or... Wait, could you be the rumoured man that came from the outside!?"
Jason slowly rubbed the side of his cheek with his finger.
"I guess I am...?"
"Ah!! No wonder... Then I guess I'll have to slowly teach you about it from the start..."
Jason nodded while chuckling lightly.
The woman started teaching Jason about safety belt and how to use it. She said it was used to lock himself on the rails that was build everywhere. It was used incase the gravity system failed. Without a safety belt, many people would accidently die without gravity.
Jason listened carefully and was glad he learned about this fact very early. If not, he would definitely die in the future without even having knowledge about it.
The woman said goodbye toward Jason after giving him a safety belt to use. She also gave him a task to practice placing his safely belt on different kinds of location.
Jason quickly started doing the task she gave him while still exploring around the academy.
"This should be the last location," Jason muttered while locking his safety belt on the rail built on the wall. He smirked after hearing the clinking sound. He was finally done with his task.
He unlocked the safety belt from the rail, but then heard some muffled noises from his side.
Jason turned toward the noises curiously and saw many girls. The catch was they were currently changing clothes, being completely naked. They also looked at him silently before someone screamed with a red face that almost had tears.
"Oh...." Jason said absentmindedly before quickly walking away. "Sorry about that." He said apologetically. He quickly retreated, knowing that if he stayed any longer, he was afraid of getting beaten up by all of them.
"Y-You disgusting pervert!" An angry voice exploded behind him.
Jason turned around swiftly and quickly saw a bundle of pink hair scattered over the air. There was also a flying kick heading toward his head.
He was then shocked—not because of the fact he could clearly see the girl's naked body. It was because his perception to his surrounding changed. It was slowing down.
The kick appeared very slow and Jason quickly moved his head aside. He then grabbed her ankle and the time soon became normal before anyone could react.
Jason frowned while gripping the girl's feet, stopping it from moving further no matter how much force the girl poured into it.
He looked toward the girl and the people behind her. His gaze were sharp and coupled with his handsome face, it dazzled then completely.
"I know I'm the one at fault, but I apologize. It was a mistake since I'm new here, and I promise to forget everything I saw. Also, please don't use violence too quickly, it does not suit such a beautiful like you. Please use it only as the last resort in the future."
Jason released the girl's leg and slightly bowed toward them before leaving the place.
He had never expected to encounter a trouble so quickly. It was not like he was a protagonist.
All of the girls were stunned while looking at Jason slowly leaving.
"Hey, who was that person? H-He was kinda cool..."
"I don't know too..."
"Yeah, he looks unfamiliar..."
"But..."
Majority of them had the same thought.
"He's so handsome and strong! Those sharp eyes and handsome features makes him look like a charming prince..."
"I agree!"
"+1!"
"+2!"
"....."
While the girls were busy taking to each others, the pink-haired girl was looking at the ground. She looked furious. She couldn't believe that Jason managed to overpower her.
And furthermore, Jason saying violence not suiting her was irritating. Who was he to say that toward her?
As she pouted while fuming, someone whispered to her ears that she was still completely naked. It caused her to quickly blush and cover it with a towel.
'He saw everything....! I can't marry now..!"
