Capítulo 27: Stuck With Me

After dinner, Hunter stood up and started collecting the dishes. "I'll handle the dishes," he offered.

Jessica looked surprised. "Are you sure?"

Hunter nodded, "Absolutely sure. Consider it a thank you for the lovely meal." He said as he whisked the dishes away, leaving Delilah fuming in her seat.

Jessica stood up and stretched. "I'm retiring for the night," she announced, looking at Delilah. "Are you coming with me?"

Delilah hesitated, torn between her curiosity and a desire to remain cautious, "I will join you shortly after I have a word with Blake," she said finally, her eyes following Hunter's movements in the kitchen.

"Sure." Jessica gave her a knowing smile before heading to the bedroom.

Left alone, Delilah sighed and got up, making her way to the kitchen. She leaned against the doorway, watching Hunter wash the dishes with surprising efficiency.
