Instead of letting go of her as she requested, Hunter pulled her closer, his eyes boring into hers and his breath hot on her face.

"No," Hunter said, his voice low and intense. "Not until you listen to me. Not until you understand how much you mean to me and believe me when I say I don't want Sabrina or anyone else but you."

"Why should I believe anything you say?" Delilah shot back, her green eyes blazing. "You're just trying to manipulate me, to make me feel like I'm the one who's wrong when you're the one who—"

"Enough of that, Lila!" Hunter snapped, silencing her with the sheer force of his voice.

"Did you just snap at me?" She asked with displeasure.

"You've been yelling all night, you didn't hear me complain," he said as he pushed her back against the wall, his body pressing against hers.
